Anyone put a shorter Rear fender on your Ridgeback or Chopper?

Seems if you want to go shorter then instead of buying a whole new fender just cut the one up you have!

Me on the other hand want to go more practical and extend the rear fender. Just looking for a piece of 11" fender to extend the one I have.

Most likely no one is going to have a fender ready made for you BD so you will have to modify the one you have to your specs to fit your frame and oilbag setup.

Just to follow up with a description, I saw a pic in a magazine of a custom Death Row Chopper bike, and it had this awesome bat wing cut out fender, so when I was getting all the custom work done on my bike, I had them cut out my fender like the one in the pic.

I had all my custom, and fab work including the custom tank done at my dealership here in St. Louis, Missouri, Gateway Bigdog.

A buck and a half for the fender but would require a new paint job correct or could I modify mine without ruining the paint?

That's a good point seatmaker. I had my custom paintwork done after the tank, and fender work.

I did the opposite, I added about four and a half inches to mine. Just wanted something different.

Hey man, welcome to the site. I want to extend mine also. How did you do yours. Just weld on a piece?

Reaper, I've always liked your bike!

Educ8tr - That looks sick! I want that but instead of adding 4.5' I would like to remove 4.5' and end the point at the same length as the strut. What grips/pegs are those?

Reaper - I love your bike too - what we in the UK would call "the dogs bollocks!"

Thanks Mudslinger.

The mods to your bike sound like they will be awesome. I look forward to the pics when you get it done.
