Help finding bike shop

I need assistance in finding a good bike shop in Ohio to install and tune a nitrous kit. I called Mike at Twin Visions in Columbus who told me to bring the parts in and he would take a look and that he has installed many of these kits. I drove 90 minutes and turns out he won't install it due to stated "liability issues." Is it common for a shop to decline business if a customer supplies the parts? I was astonished. He said he wouldn't install anything I provided. My thought is that it is a shit economy and in the middle of winter and you're going to turn me away? I never ask for a warranty on the parts or labor. Your thoughts....

I live in the Mansfield area, smack between Cleveland and Columbus. I don't care if I have to travel... I just want it done right.

Figures, your in the NE part of the state (I travel to Canton/Massillion every year for the State Football Finals), and I'm not real familiar with bike shops over that way.

A place that pops in my head, although I'm not positive they deal with nitros is Hill's Performance in Ney, OH (NW Ohio) about 10 miles north of Defiance. Going to be a good 2hr + drive for you. They build some Bad-Ass bikes and do ALOT of engine work/mods in house.

you can email them and ask: Hill's Performance

I wouldn't trust black swamp choppers for shit. They'll charge the shit out of you. But they have a nice shop, restaurant, and tattoo shop.

Most do.....

The shops around me (westcentral & southwestern OH) all have a labor rate in the area of $70 - $80 an hour. There is a guy that opened up a shop in my hometown that's about half of that, I'd trust him more than most. He was moreless taught the trade by my brothers father-in-law, a man who's worked on H-D's in general for over 50 years.

Most of the folks in this area and even in eastern Indiana would bring their bikes to him. He worked for the H-D dealership in Painter's Creek, OH for many, many years, until it was bought out and turned into Gover H-D in Piqua, OH. He still works for them part time.

He's kinda "passed the torch"
