Is this a good deal or what????

Was bidding on the attached and lost. Now I get an e-mail that the seller has several of these for sale so I have a second chance offer for $450.00. This a good deal on a used air ride system without hoses?

I'm only speaking from my own experiance but I bought a set of pipes from "shovelheadkicker" off of ebay, about a year and a half ago and the pipes were mixed matched. Top pipe was for a Chopper and the bottom was for a K-9 or something like that. The exhaust bracket holes were in different places, so they would not match up with the exhaust bracket. I ended up selling them on ebay again, but explained what they were. Some guy bought them and fabbed up a custom bracket.

Take it for what it's worth.

Thnaks for the info fatdog! I have never delt with the guy an can only go off his E-bay Rep. Just looking for a good deal on an air ride system so I thought I would ask. Thanks for the feed back. Wonder where this guy gets so many used BD parts? He has a list of um on e-bay.

Rick, he is well know by a lot of us and has been selling old stock parts from the factory for quite a while. I have ordered several things from him without problems. I got the longer handlebars for my 05 and he sells bags of exhaust gaskets so won a bag of them. I go through a lot of pipes!

I would say the shocks sound like a good idea. Check out 05Chops latest thread on his install of these shocks just yesterday.
You can get his instructions or WBCycles can send you a copy and the air hose you can probably pick up at your local auto parts store.
If anything ask him what his return policy is.

Just to clarify, I'm not bad mouthing the guy and I know alot of other guys have bought stuff from him and have had good luck. With the luck I have, the first time I used him, that' what I ended up with. I know he sells alot of BDM stuff on ebay and always has something listed, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I try him again. Hopefully the next time around, everything works.

a new set is 1200. I have it on my bike, it's worth the 1200. If you can get this one for 450 and get it going for another 50 or so plus your time I'd say yes, that's a good deal IF IF IF IF IF you can get it going

I've bought parts multiple times from Shovel. No problems but understand he gets stuff the factory is unloading or the R&D shop is finished experimenting with. It sounds like a good deal if you like experimenting to get it working....Good luck!

RICK From the picture you get two shocks,one compressor.WHY they leak could be fittings. To install them you need new shocks shims and washer,1/8 plastic air line,air compressor bracket,longer bolts to compressor,bump stop shims,maybe a kick stand 6deg spacer plate,air gage,air line braided steel from air shock to gage or plug the fitting at the shock.I got mine shocks from (NELSON) came with a bdm warrenty and instruction.Call nelson he has progressive shocks also that are cheaper.Or take a chance on ebay.05chop

Thanks all for your replies. Great having good people to bounce things off of. I think I am going to wait and see if he posts another set for sale to see if I can get them cheaper then $450. I just bought the xXx and with Christmas around the corner don't think I will push my luck with the wife.
