2+2 may be common, but the look is hard to beat. I just installed them (THANKS BIGDOGSARGE!) on my ride. They look and sound fantastic with thunder city baffles. Very little pop on decel and have a deep, nasty sound. Love 'em.:2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:
Doggone,

I wasn't putting the pipes down by any means. I actually like everything about em. That is why I got them.

I just prefer to have somethng different on my pup now that I have them on. You guys with the newer bikes stand out alot more than a bike like mine that has less rake. I have to work a little harder to make mine not look like a customized HD. Hence the decision to start looking at different exhaust options on mine.

Glad you got taken care of by another forum member and glad you are proudly sportin the V&H's. :2thumbs:

I actually felt v&h 2-1 was a cool change-up to the all to common shot-gun style pipes....but it is still just personal preference. I had a set of Bissani pro streets on the bike for 5yrs...very loud, but also short, which caused ringing in my ears. We would wear cotton all the time.

These, to me, look bad ass. They have a very deep tone and I'm told that removing the baffle the bike will sound like a NASCAR.

It comes down to what you like. These v&h pipes are well constructed, meaning, the actual system is covered with shinny chrome but the guts are pure exhaust. Good luck with your choice. It's about what you like not what anyone else thinks is cool. :2thumbs:

Also have no problem with the passenger peg supplied with pipes...minor mod to hole in the frame from the original peg. No way it is coming loose

I've had the V&H BR 2 into 2 since June of '04 (when I picked up my bike), one of the first pair sold at the now long gone North Coast Motorcycles in Toledo (Rossford) OH. When I bought these pipes it was "rumored" to be a limited run pipe, we ALL know how that shit goes, LOL.

Originally I was going with some Arlen Ness pipes but was warned by the dealer about chrome issues with those pipes, thus the V&H purchase. Couldn't be more happy with anything else............even though every Tom, Dick & Harry has them now.

Shows I had good taste in a least 1 thing.
