CHECK YOUR CHOCKS!!!!

Hey guys, I about had a heart attack yesterday at 26...I walked into the garage to find the K9 on it's side (well almost). I have a Condor chock that it parks in. Apparently my front tire has been slowly losing air (last ride in Oct probably) and I have it covered so I never notice it. Anyway, when the tire went flat enough, the bike fell over still in the chock. It must have gone kinda slow as it caught the left grip on my lift and nothing else touched (lucky for the lift I guess). I have the roulette grips, so the end of the spike is a bit rounded now (fine with me, sharp fuckers) and all else is ok.

So, either check your tires or check your chocks or whatever, but since most of ours are sitting (screw you Florida guys) be sure they're still sturdy in the chocks!!

When mines not being ridden, I keep mine on a lift and covered. No Issues!

But good idea for those that don't! :2thumbs:

Good Save Too! :2thumbs:

dead

Had to ride mine today for 200 miles. Yes, tires were inflated. plenty of sunshine and around 70 degrees. Bad weather tomorrow--some rain but Sunday more sun and again 70 degrees. I would hate to cover my bike for 6 months. We will send some sun your way soon.

No riding here today. It is -25. My bike sits about 2 inches off the ground on a lift and covered. Hopefully will get out of storage by June.

I never just leave it in the chock without the blackjack under the frame to help keep it stable.
same here.

started that when i saw mine on her side. was a bitch to get it up being the wheels were still on the lift. and the bike was almost against my toolboxes.

like yours i was surprised i had no damage.

was just thankful the lift wasnt up!

Mine is parked in the garage with a piece of carpet under each tire to inhibit the tires from dry rotting. I leave it on the kickstand, but I periodically go out to admire it and wish the hell the weather would warm up.

If your tire keeps loosing air and you can not find a leak, most likely it is corrosion around the rim where tire beads to rim, this happened to me and I also have a 06 K9, I removed tires and took steel wool and cleaned off corrosion from rim and tire, worked fine.

Yup, original tire. I need a new set anyway, I think it leaks from the stem from installing the dyna beads and like a retard and thinking I needed to loosen it. Anyway, glad some of you have better options for storage.

Just cant come to trust a Condor on my lift. Still use the vise and 2 straps at all times. Leave the Condors in the trailer

When mines on the lift it is strapped. It sits under a cover with a electric heater, not to keep it's nuts warm but to keep it from sweating. We have wild temperature swings hear near the coast and lots of humidity at times. There is hardly a week that goes by that you can't ride here.
