I am also having clutch problems, however my problem is that the clutch is slipping. I did a search and in another thread on clutch slipping it is also reccomended to check the clutch hub nut for tighness. Is it possible that a loose nut could cause both sliipping, and draging?

thanks heaps for that ray:2thumbs:, i did not no where to start.
Hardest part is finding the right size socket for the clutch hub nut. When you get the primary off you can measure it but the other link states you can get by with a metric socket size 31 or 32 if I remember right.
I didn't have to remove my motor sprocket to remove the clutch basket, I had enough slack. Only cause I didn't have a larger socket for that big nut.

your ploblem is more than likely the adjustment nut on the right side of bike and it sounds like my problem is on the other side ( i think)

If you search "Bandit" clutch you will see a lot of us have done this and it's real easy once you get into it. Just yell if you have a problem and someone here will point you in the right direction.

I agree Kiwi I would think that a loose clutch hub nut would cause the clutch to drag not to slip.Good luck with your problem and I am sure the good folks here can provide you with all the info you will need to get the job done.

Your looking at your pressure plate. Remove the four bolts and the clutch unit and you will have access to your clutch hub nut.

thanks ray , got it sorted and that nut was about to fall of so i am lucky.:bang:. i will have to wait till monday so i can borrow a big torque wrench and put back together.:) and ride again
Yeah, that was a common issue with the 07's. Clean it up and re-torque it real good and tight and then loctite it back on and you should have no more issues with it.

Yell if you need anything else.
