Dear Mr. Rocket123,

I was kidding. Did you actually read BOTH sentences of my post? Here it is again in case you missed it:

"Due to the sensitivity of the posters in this particular thread I wish to state unequivocally that this is a JOKE response and in no way is meant to incite a Chevy vs. Ford debate."

AND I'm glad for you that you have such an AWESOME Ford that you could blow away a 550 HP Twin Turbo 2000 FRC C5 Corvette. Congratulations. You win. Wow.

Sorry, a 540hp Mustang cannot even beat a 436hp Grand Sport vette (which is heavier that base vette) ....the mustangs are just too heavy.....

I had an encounter with a 07 Mustang with a Kenne Bell charger. Supposedly made 700 rwhp. My Camaro makes 500 but 500 tq at 3800 as well. Anyway, we both competed in an autocross and I got the upper hand by a mile. I stopped in the gas station to adjust my shocks and I pull out on I15 and there he is. We ran them twice and I beat him both times. My point, more things come into play that power. Traction and weight are huge factors. I personally prefer to race with corners. That takes a little more skill and a better car. :D

bigdog outlaw, that mustang is not set up for a track, its more 1/4mile straights,it doesnt have the suspension a corvette has,but my year cobra does have the suspension to handle the track,my year is the only cobra that came with a independent suspension like the vette, trust me thou it will smoke that vette in the 1/4, if you work the suspension you may even see it smoke it on the track. vegas, prob had to do with the driver and a lot to do with the traction or he really didnt make the power he was stating...tcalz nothing to the internals of the motor, this year cobra is the only mustang motor that can handle approx 1000rwhp before you have to upgrade the internals, as for the newer cobras they can only handle about 500rwhp and thats pushing it,that is why you pay 80k for a cobra from carol shelby, cause they are building a motor to handle the power there giving it.my car is pushing about 20psi it will push more, but im happy where its at,its the first mustang to ever have a irs and 6speed tranny along with a factory supercharger. stock the car made 400rwhp nothing done to it.

nj, no i dont have any pics yet,but its a 03 cobra with a whipple....2004bc ever bring that vette to englishtown?
No, it's not a 1/4 miler car. I had a 77 vette that I built for 1/4 but never tracked it. It was N/A and not very practical to drive on the street. You have to pick what your going to focus a vette on, 1/4, street, or autocross and build accordingly. I chose an STS TT for my C5 for street fun. Whipples, KB's, and Maggies really deliver the low end torque for 1/4 mile blasts. Plus, unlike the Cobra, LS1 internals can only safely handle 8 to 10 psi of boost before you have to forge the internals. I'm 8 psi on stock internals with upgraded springs to prevent float, textralia clutch(smoked the stock), AR headers, Kirban, Hotchkiss, Baer, etc etc. When the engine finally blows it's forged and probably 15 psi. Should then be in the 700 hp area but TT's, superchargers, and roots types like yours all have very different ways of making power. It's all FI and it's all GOOD!!!

I've seen 03's with the whipple making 600rwhp. I always heard at 650rwhp it was KBOOM time.

Yea, same here but I didn't want to mention it due to the posters obvious sensitivity about his car. Lots of smack talk, exageration, and macho rhetoric when it comes to cars, very little truth.
