Factory Paint Repair

Does anyone out their Have any Info on factory Paint and Who makes BD Paint I bought a repair Kit on line from a Dealer First wrong color Waited for Two months Contacted BD and the Dealer I belive he sent The same wrong color Minus The Clear coat,:angry:

I know their touch-up paint sure isn't too great for what it costs! Once you mix it, they told me it's got a shelf-life of "about two hours"!:loony: Plus, it didn't really match too well either!:bang:

If it is a factory base coat, it would be either PPG or House of Kolor. Is it the red base color in your pic?
Odds are you probably don't have to go through BDM if you can just get the codes. You could get it mixed (PPG) or get some (HoK) at any local jobber.
It's alot easier than getting touch-up paint for Harleys!!!

Except for Harley vivid black
That was one of the colors my dupont jobber listed
I would like to know the paint codes on my black cherry color

dont know where your at, but h.o.k. has dealers all over the country.........check your phone book or google them for a dealer near you!

Thanks I tried that and Only list Atlanta Ga 300+ miles away

looks like candy red base coat bc-11 and a UK-11 apple red candy on top
plus if you look at house of kolor they recomned clear over that
Plus you would need catalyst to add to paint
i don't know if BD does put clear over candy
my jobber only sells Qts. but its not there main paint
I was going to do some brackets wasn't worth the cost

If you only need a small amount, check with local collision shops. Many will sell small amounts, premixed and ready to go.
