I plan on keeping my Pit Bull, FOREVER! I am also looking for another BDM, to park next to this one. GREAT MOTORCYCLE, and the guys at BDM Tampa, are very helpfull. Just my two cents.

Absoultely I would purchase another Big Dog. In my openion, this is the best looking, most well equiped bike for the price, hands down.

I have not put enough miles on my '09 Ridgeback yet to say for sure...but they have the classic chopper look down pat. I spent almost a year looking at various chopper builders but I kept coming back to Big Dog. The S&S is something to rave about in my opinion but I am new to the vtwin world... I am contemplating just getting a fuel cel so that I can refuel without people freakin out at the pump. It is cool though but I am put off a bit by some of the negative responses...

Doug, remember that BDM has sold about 28000 of these big inch bikes.

with 3000 members on this forum, you will find some negitive comments, and yet, in the overall scheme of things, the negitive comments are few and far between. We could also analyze most of these negitives and about half of those issues arise from a lack of maintenence by the owner. Now, there will be issues, no doubt. But I think you will agree, for a big inch, solid mount, big tire, long ass bike, custom production and the whole nine yards, these are some fine bikes, yet, such as they are, there will be some issues.

Some bikes do appear to be lemons though, just like ford, gm, bmw, benz, and lately, toyota has been having issues that kill ppl.

Overall though...:2thumbs:

My Mastiff is a fun bike. It attracts tons of attention and handles well. It has several kinks that always seem to pop up at inconvenient times. My Harley is much more reliable but I'd rather ride my Mastiff. That said, I have to see how my bike holds up over the years before I consider purchasing another. If it proves to be reliable, I'll sell the Harley.

If I were in the market for another bike, it would be a BDM Chopper again. I love my '03 Chopper.

I have a 2002 Harley Heritage Classic Softail for sale with only 4800 miles on it. Perfect condition. Private message me if you're interested.

I wish I could afford a 2nd Big Dog!

Something always seems to come up, an unexpected expense like a mortgage payment, food, pesky shit like dat!

Dang kids!:D

After getting my '09 Ridgeback in October, I have been looking at as many other custom production type chopper builders as possible. I would still go with BD. The classic and not outrageous design are exactly what I was looking for. The performance has been impressive as well but I cannot wait to get a 2 - 1 pipe and the bike dyno'd to see how the 117 runs once it is breathing properly.

Hell!! you guys are making me nervous I just bought an 04 RB only got to ride it one time so far. But from what I have read from some posts alot of people seem disgusted with there bikes. S&S motor Baker trans you really cant go wrong.

I am a firm believer if you take care of a motorcycle or car on don't beat the snot out of them they should last a good while

Hell, Yes! My 03 Chopper had a couple of issues when I first got it, but a new charging system cured that. Didn't like the exhaust so a set of 2 into 1 V&H Big Radius solved that, and I put a S&S air cleaner to replace the spiked bent thing that was on it. A Tri Bar gas cap from bdmridgeback, and I'm ready for the summer.

I had 4 flawless years with my BDM Chopper. Even though I've had problems with my Dog this past year, and we still may not have it fixed, I would have no problems buying another.

Luv that Dog!
