Is the factory on their 6-week furlough now? No new entries or replies on their FaceBook page for awhile...

Also, does anyone else think it's "odd" that no major motorcycle publications have test ridden or reviewed the new Bulldog Bagger yet?

Just gettin' nervous I guess...hopin' our favorite motorcycle company is "OK"...:read:

Guess it's time for me to get with Biker Babe to get me one to test drive and write the story! I'm on it!

We were at the factory 2-3 weeks ago, show room / parts and service is open Tuesday through Saturday....we were told the factory was on furlough for 4 weeks, their replacing the frame on my brothers 04 and we had to wait for powder coat...called them last week and the furlough has been extended another few weeks....they actually sent the frame out from the factory for the powder coat...bike is going to service this week for the swap....you can draw your own conclusions guys. I'm hoping the furloughs gives the factory the shot in the arm it needs, but i have a bad feeling in my gut

Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) they aren't a public company so we cannot see their finances. However, we know two things: the market for expensive stuff is dry; and banks aren't lending to businesses or people. That's a bad recipe.

I really hope that they don't call it quits because that would suck. Perhaps we can get Obama to bail them out like GM (which I don't have a big issue with as an icon of American manufacturing and the f wants people to lose their jobs?) and would cost a whole boatload less dough to do.

A company that is expanding to Canada and Europe is probably not going to close the doors anytime soon. It is hitting the dealers, and smaller shops I can tell you that much. I will be out of my technician position in 2 weeks due to our dealership closing down. Good news is it opens the doors for me to new opportunities, not worried about it at all.

Drew:
The good news is the only other NY BD dealer is in Long Island. That is a lot of up state potential for a good BD tech.
Also I heard that your dealership still has 9 unsold bikes. Did I hear someone say group buy? What bikes are left?

Hey Drew sorry to hear about your particular situation but you don't sound to worried.

Before jumping back into the dog pound you would just want to make sure they'll be around.

Big Dog had their factory crew and 18 wheeler full of the new 2010 bikes on display last weekend here in Dallas at Stroker's Anniversary Party ... They were all talking about all the cool new stuff they had in the works back home in Kansas ...

Yeah sorry guys I had lost my user name and password it had been so long:) I created a new one but it didn't let me in for some reason, I gave it a few days and it still did not work, WTF I said:) So I searched and searched my old emails and found this profile again, Now I'm good to go:) Yes if any of you need any help I will try my best to lend some of my thoughts in it. Also Yes I do realize there is an opportunity for a dealership/ service center in upstate NY, I am working on it. I will be living in the Binghamton, NY area by the end of this month. I might have a building down there, still working on that. Anyone out there near this area? If so PM me and feel free to give me a hello. Thanks all for your support.
