When is it to wide?

I'm getting tired of wide tire bikes, I've got a ridgeback with a 300 on it, rides fine but I probably won't ever own a bike with a tire bigger than 180
I hear ya brother! :job: Those wide tires, stretched out frames, big motors, excessive chrome, custom wheels, hot paint jobs, drooling women (and men) and complete strangers wanting to take pictures gets old in a hurry! Fuck that! I'm going back to my moped too!:roll:

To me...It's like, I have the 300, now I ready for Bigger. Did I read correctly? There's a 400 out there now. Awesome! Would love to have a 330 on GSKR1000. One day!
Fat is definitely the way to go!

Went from a V Rod with a 240 to my Ridgeback with a 330. Love the looks, the attention and the ride!!!! The only problem I see is sharp curves and an uneven road surface. Uneven road surfaces make the bike pull pretty hard but that's it. Positives outweigh the couple of little negatives :2thumbs:

Why? Is it that there overdone or the ride or what? Just curious! Even when I rode sport bikes I never scraped the knee or anything, but was aggressive! I will hit some twisties here soon and see how she does! Does anyone know if the BDM trailer is going to be doing demos during Biketober??
I think it's been taken too far that's all. The ride is different, but not in a bad way. So from my perspective it's more about style than function. There's a lot of beach balls on the road now, and I feel like it's turn into a contest of who can pack the most chrome onto two wheels.

Choppers have always been about wreched excess, that's the whole point, so to that end it feels like a natural progression. But now I feel like everything has been done soo many times that it's hard to be creative with these bikes anymore and you're only option is to put more stuff on than the last guy. One thing I always liked about bigdog was that the lines of the bike work well together. There's a "sexiness" to these bikes but some people take it too far... into "whore" levels.

I think my taste has evolved to appreciate the balance of performance and artistic design of motorcycle construction, and "more more more" just doesn't seem to catch my eye like it used to.

I guess it all comes down to proportion for me. Ever seen a really short chick with DDD cups? To me that's not sexy, it's wasteful. Now I'm not saying all fat tires are ugly, I like my 300-ridgeback because it works well with the style and purpose of the bike, but everyone has limits to what they like, these are mine.

Looks to me like you are biased against big tittied midgets and that's just down right wrong.:roll::roll:

How YOU doin?
I've ridden both the 250 (which is what I have) and the 300 and I was shocked to not notice really any difference at all. they were both nice!

Depends on how you want to ride. If you want to ride tights into turns or keep up with the sport bikes on fast turns, then the fat tires are not for you. If you want a ride that makes those turns more interesting and look good while doing it, then the 300 and up is the do-do! Fat Tires is the best in this riders opinion!!
