My 250 rear is the widest tire bike to date I have rode and owned. It comes at a price of also being the least nimble! Not complaining at all! Love it! Just different. For those of you with 300's and up is there a significant drop off in handling from the 250? Curious for when or if I ever want something different. I saw a 400 tire the other day and thought wtf? Really?

never rode a 250 but i don't have any obvious trouble with the 300 on the K9. just seems like you need to be ready to push the bike in the right direction when needed. makes it more fun to ride, like you are more of a part of the machine.

IF LIFE SUCKS, GO RIDE
As a fairly new k9 owner with a 300, I LOVE THE SHIT OUT OF IT! to me it gives a more stable ride but that is me. I put a new tire on when i bought and made a big difference cause the old one was worn flat like they were doing burn-outs. Know what they say-Gotta go big cause it looks sick!!!! :2thumbs:

I went from a 180 to a 300 when i bought my Ridgeback and love it. needs a little muscle through the tight turns but a lot of fun.:2thumbs:

Low Down Chop Shop
I had a 2004 Ridgeback w/ the 250 tire and went to my current 300 tire Ridgeback and I think that the 300 rides better, corners and takes curves about the same, but slow, sharp turns up enbanked driveways do fight more.

Well worth it though.

I am going to ride a 330 Ridgeback sunday at the dealer. The BDM semi-trailer is going to be there doing free test rides, so I am going to compare and see if I want a newer Ridgeback or not.

I have the 330 and LOVE IT!!!!! No problems with handling or anything at all except people asking all the time "how do you ride that thing with such a big tire"?

Not a 300 but I've got a 280. Took some getting used to but now I've managed to drag the exhaust and the pegs. Just takes a little more effort.

I have a 280 and was worried about cornering or doing u-turns but to my surprise it does great. No worries here!! Love the wheels!

just remember when doing u-turns you need to look where you want to go instead of in front of the bike. it WILL go where you are looking. :2thumbs:

I have rode the 250 and the 300 (K9) didn’t see much difference. As far as handling both were good and I didn’t notice anything till I put on me new 250 a few months ago.

I guess my old tire waz kinda square because my bike does handle allot better with the new tire!!

The only times I notice it is when riding on a slanted surface. The 300 wants to pull you in the direction of the slant. Just takes a little getting use to, but the looks far outweigh any driving issues.

I'm getting tired of wide tire bikes, I've got a ridgeback with a 300 on it, rides fine but I probably won't ever own a bike with a tire bigger than 180

Why? Is it that there overdone or the ride or what? Just curious! Even when I rode sport bikes I never scraped the knee or anything, but was aggressive! I will hit some twisties here soon and see how she does! Does anyone know if the BDM trailer is going to be doing demos during Biketober??
