Inexpensive hauler

I started thinkin' aboout this the other day when I was ridin through town and my dog died on me. It wasn't an overly hot day temp in the lower 80's, been ridin in much more heat and stop & go before. Anyway stopped at a light, and proceded with my right turn comin up through the gears and thought damn why am I slowing down. Bike just shut off stopped turn key off & on started it up and drove fine and no I didn't pay attention to anything like if the lights or speedo had anything workin'. I was just to surprised by it. My closest service shop for BigDog is an hour and a half away, and my buddy just got rid of his custom motorcycle trailer, damn. I hope this isn't a taste of things to come, but if it is so what I'm lucky I don't owe anything on my bike, diff story but not 'cause I got money. I was lookin at this hauler anyone had any experience with one? Kendon Chopper/ Custom Motorcycle Trailer at Discount-Trailers.Com If anyone wants to chime in on the bike dying issue feel free as well, no sputter, no backfire nothin just like I hit the stop switch, plz don't say EHC.

did you run outta gas????:lol:seriously could be any of a million things wrong, your just gonna have to troubleshoot it and figure out what it is...as for the trailer ..well IMO i would never put out $2000 for a trailer like that knowing for a couple dollars more or even less you could get an enclosed one......

Oh check your gas cap vent!! It will act just like an electrical issue!! If it happens again loosen the cap real quick!!

Yep, I also was lookin online, lots of places in Georgia. I wasn't sure if a 10 ft trailer would work for the K9 after you install a wheel lock, it's already 9ft long. Could a 6x10 hold one or two bikes? I got a vrod & sportster in the family as well.

They measure 10' to where the V starts so it's more like 13 feet long!! yeah it will hold two, I am going to set mine up where the second bike is backed in.

Thanks, and thats about an hour from my house. I go to Columbia several times a month anyway. That's a business and not a private seller, I need to check them out. Anyway do ya think it will hold two bike? I also went out today on the dog and no problems this time, still think I need a trailer anyway for several reasons, thanks again.

Where to go for decent prices?... I'm looking for a 6x12 V-nose but the dealers in my area (northern VA) are way over priced.

I do check craigslist from time to time, but usually when I'm ready to pull the trigger I don't find what I want on there. And I just don't have the patience to keep combing craigslist when I'm ready to buy. The local trailer place does have a 6x12 scratch and dent special for $2200 but it's not a V-nose. The only thing wrong with it is someone moved it and forgot to lift up the jack so it's a little bent (not very much). I just don't know if I'll regret not having that little bit of extra space or not. And does anyone know how much difference the V-nose makes as far as mileage and overall drag?

What are you pulling it with?? We have an 05 Sport Trac with a V6 and the V Nose pulls real nice!!!! Cuts through the air!!! My flat bed trailer came with an expanded metal ramp and with the ramp on it and up you could feel it dragging real bad like a sail. The V nose pulls better!:whoop:
Oh and behind the BBT I dont even know it's there, good thing I have a Video Camera so I can make sure it's still there!

Right now I'm towing with a Dakota but will be upgrading soon. It's about to roll 300k so I think I got my money's worth out of it...:D

I put 2-bikes in my 6x12 however its not a v-nose but I wanted to park it in any of my garages that only have 7' high doors so i got a low hauler. A little more than 2200.00 but it depends what you'll use it for.
If I could post pics like BB I would, but mine always show up as thumbnails, I'm computer stupid.
