Hey Eric...Are the baffles hard to remove??? I am still waiting for my pipes to arrive. I had to settle for the straight cut Trouble Makers, as they had sold out of all the others. I want to get them installed as soon as I can.

Hippy, based on my experience it is harder to keep the top baffle in. The screw is short and tends to vibrate loose, and there goes the baffle. Ireplaced the screws from Hooker when I put the most recent set of baffles in (the "quiet" baffles)

Anybody got the number for Hooker....just went thru an ordeal with Martin Bros and their Skirtliftas on my 08 Ridgeback........they will not fit with a 330 tire and the transmission sticking 1 1/4" futher out than on a 300 tire bike. After 10 days of jacking with them, i just returned them to Martin Bros. I need some good pipes quick.

Hey WRM....I just got my pipes today and they are beauties. Try this number....270-781-9741....and I used option 5...!!1 Good luck...they are running out of stock fast..!! I ordered the Trouble makers and wanted the scallop cut ends, but all were gone and I had to settle for the straight cut ends. I think they are going to look really good. I can't wait to hear how they sound.

Give them a call quick....if there's something you have you eyes on...!!!!!

Go back through this thread and there's links to their pipes..!!! Mine can be found here.......

What is it that made you switch? The look of the V&H Big Radius is the look I've always liked. Do they cut the ability to lay into a turn a lot?

We run our Hooker troublemakers without baffles and we were having real loud pops when we let off the gas. I put a new ignition on and advanced the timing a little and the loud pops are gone and the bike runs great.

what ing sys did you use ? where did you set the timming?

We had an Ultima which is made by Dynatek that lasted a year. We installed a Dynatek and adjusted the timing based on the bike idle and throttle response. Normally when you advance the timing the bike will idle faster. Old idle RPM was around 800 now it is 1,000. There is an easy way to set the ignition timing by rotating the engine to the top dead center point of the front cylinder and turning the ignition module until the red light goes off. The Dynatek is programable and has several rev limit settings, advance curves and single or dual fire settings. Single fire is much better for starting and performance.

Hope this helps.

Oh well.... I was kinda late on this thread anyway....
I was a little late too... but it does look like they still have a few options for pretty cheap on their site. I just wish they had pix to show for me to see before I click. Because honestly... I don't have a clue which ones would actually fit and work on my bike.
