Disrespectful posts (revised title)

When you have a group of people that have all got screwed by a single dealership and you can obviously tell that its not a single issue. Then it starts to become fact. Dealerships like Forest in Michigan and Carl's in Florida. These are dealerships that constantly screw and disrespect people.

if somebody wants to voice this, especially those that have been long term members here. I'm not talking about some new guy who's 2nd post is some off the wall rant.

Editing such rants that I'm referring, masks itself to look like a simple move of some corperate sponsored bullshit. Period. The more this happens, the more it looks like those that run the forum have their nose firmly implanted in the bdm rear.

The dealership survery's that bdm sends out isn't enough cause they aren't regular enough, this is unlike other manufactures like hd, ford, gm, etc. We all know that bdm reads this forum. So why not use it to voice the truths.

I for one only see a red background on the forum, but I think some view everything bdm thru rose colored glasses. Well pull off the glasses and look around, shit is screwed up. These dealerships are ruining the creditability that bdm corperate carries. I bet the corperate ran dealership in Cali doesn't have this issue.

I guess those that voice anything negative about bdm will get ran off by the bdm task force.

100% agree with waht Ray has to say but Gas Man has a great point also . I know it has nothing to do with the topic because the topic is about calling people out individually and Dealers individually . I have no problem at all with any dealership as one . I have had great service at Iron Lightning and Crusin 66 . Actually all the dealerships I have been to . The only place I have a problem with is the one place that should respect me for spending my $$$ on their product .

I hear what your saying Ray. I was a member of the BD Owners Group and the negativity was a turn off. I just quit going to it and forgot all about it. 4-5 years later I ran across this site and believe it's a huge improvement all around. Once in a while, you see some negativity from one member to another that I believe is uncalled for, but overall most posts are positive and friendly. It's a good idea to keep the focus on the positive. And as far as calling out dealers, you are more likely to get better results if you state your problem and disappointment with out a lot of mud slinging.

Unfortunately, a perfect bike-nor a perfect world exists. There is not a one among us who has not had something (me included) about the bike that has not "aggravated the stuffings" out of us. I don't mind reading about a problem (be it a part, dealer, bike, service etc.)...but the MANNER (mean spirited) in which a few post and the language to me is almost unbelievable. I don't mind when two guys that are obvious friends talk trash to each other. That's how guys talk-and I can use language that will make a longshoreman blush. But to use disrespectful language to another forum member that you don't know "from Adam" just because their opinion does not agree with yours is beyond comprehension for me. I always have a visual of what the guy must look like that does this sort of thing-and so far-they have all looked pretty much like I imagined. One thing about it-any time I want to save $3.99 a minute for someone to talk dirty to me-I can always count on reading a couple of specific members posts to save me the money. It's not what you say-but how you say it. I vote that the language AND grammar requirement be at least at a 6th grade level. Spell check optional.

Good points from both Ray and Gas! I'll do my damndest to not be an asshole, but I can't help that I'm a smartass!

I can tell you this. I've only been on this site for about 7 months and have met some great folks here. I have the strangest things happen to my bike but always get the help I need from most everyone. I read the BS mudslinging, but for the most part, it's a brotherhood (just a figure of speach Biker Babe) of BD owners that will give the shirt off their back or the parts off their bike to you. :cheers:

Ok my 1 cents worth..My post was the orignal post that was deleted..I was venting
because a Dealership whom I spent $30k with did not remember me 2 weeks later. That
same dealership when it was time for my 500 mile service
told me to drop it off and when they can get to it they will.
This same dealership sent me a letter to offer there services
at a discounted labor rate over the winter because they know times are tight
and I'm a valued customer. They were almost bragging in the letter that there business is not hurting
do to the support of Big Dog.

I found this amusing and posted about it..What happened after that???

Now to the point we are at. I agree with Gas! I'm not gonna sugar coat it. In my book this place can go get screwed!!
(Warning the above opnion is mine and solely mine) I believe I have earned that right. I spent alot of my wife's hard earned money(LOL

on that scoot. I'm not looking for them to kiss my ass but a little respect would be nice.

Moving on past that whats done is done. I won't go back end of story. If anyone asks
I will tell them what my experience has been. Just because they are a Big Dog dealer
I'm not gonna hold my thoughts back.

Like I pm'd Ray, most of the time I just keep my mouth shut.
But I really don't want to see this forum to go to the everything is all smelling like roses idea.
Believe me I like to read the "good jobs" and "great experience's" but we also learn from the "them idot's" posts!

Just my thoughts!

Jesus Christ, stop your F**king whining and just ride em, When they break learn to fix em and keep going. Its not that difficult, if it is buy a Honda or whatever it is that you want some dealer to lick your balls for. Face the facts, their will always be good and bad dealers, that doesnt necessarily reflect on the whole company. I personally have been raped by the dealer program but BD stepped up as they have for many more than the bitchers care to agree to. Get a bad pair of Nike's, gonna shoot the messenger or the company??

Mods do any awesome job :2thumbs:and every once in a while the squeaky wheel needs some grease. This forum by far out performs the old site, for us old guys. For the sour grapes that are here, dont like it, LEAVE :angry:
