I had an issue where the dog would not idle when cold. I looked into the EFI controller software and seen where it thought the bike was 230 degrees when it was cold. I unplugged the Head Temperature Sensor and it would idle then and trip the engine code light. Followed the diagnostic troubleshooting flow chart for checking the sensor. It had 5 vdc across the backbone wiring harness connector which is good. I ohm-ed the sensor from pin A to the sensor body and it would show between megs ohms and if you moved the wires around to 150K. The 150K ohms translates to about 122 celsius or 230 degrees. I ordered anew head temp sensor and all is back to normal. Idles like a kitten and smokes the tire at will. It sure is nice being able to look at you EFI controller to see what is going on without having to go to a dealer or them calling Big Dog Headquarters. The Thundermax wide band ECU is the shit, self tuning and everything at your finger tips. Troubleshoot, change out components and it will learn on its own. Write it to the base map if you are happy. Zippers engineers are more than happy to help you with your map or changes if needed. I am not sure I can say the same about BDM bending over to help you EFI guys.....
