05 and maybe some 06 had a .569 Comp cam. The S&S cam in them now should be a .546. If you have the single wound bee hive spring its rated at .585
I saw some Comp cams in a J&P book and the numbers were similar, so I feel sure you're right on that. Do the red stripes on the springs indicate anything in particular? I took for granted that it meant they were rated for a larger cam. Looks like assuming has screwed me again.

Damn! :bang::bang: I'm wearing the threads out on the bolts from pulling that head. That is the only way to change the springs, right?

The cam is in, the engine is all back together other than putting the pipes back on. WTF.

I'll do whatever I need to do before I turn it over.
