TRUE COLORS COLLISION
Some know that i have had nothin but issues with my bike this summer,in the shop more than in my garage, from starter, speedo, voltage regulator, ignition module,EHC,and 1 month ago clutch nut loosening up and loosing 6th gear, bike has been in shop ENTIRE month of august, and this whole idea has left a really very bad taste in my mouth, because i am upside down on this bike financially and there is no getting rid of it ,nor do i really want to,i just want it to be dependable.....BDM said they wouldnt warranty my trans cause i was outta warranty but the issue came up while in warranty which made the taste even worse...then i even thought all that has been fixed or exchanged is only being exchanged with the same parts so eventually they will again fail also, taste is really nasty now,........so all i focused on was reading the negative stuff goin on with these bikes,i could not see my glass being 1/2 full...looked pretty empty to me...so while on facebook the other day BDM asks everyone what they are doin 4 the 3 day weekend and where are they riding, and my response was basically the same as last months like my shit is STILL in the shop and just like last month i will be riding NOWHERE,next thing i know the moderator from BDM gets in contact with me ,calls the dealer expedites the matter sends me luke from customer services phone #...my parts are being overnited,BDM is picking up the tab and i am told i am without a doubt thee last goodwill faith outta warranty tab pickup in the history of BDM....
It seems as though the company has restored some of my faith in them, sometimes all we want to hear is an i am sorry, acknowledge my pain, make things good,ect.ect.ect.....
So today i am in a good mood, thinkin my bike will return to me soon and i can return to having the wind in my hair while i still have some...........:2thumbs::flag:

Another round please
I tell you no other bike company would NOT do what BDM is doing for you. Congrats and be a good steward for BDM. We want BDM around forever.

I just wanta ride
Sorry to hear that. I can completly understand. Hated when the weather was great and the bike was in the shop. I am glad to hear what they are doing.:cheers:That is why I think BDM is the way to go when it comes to custom bikes. I had an APC with the same problem in the shop more than I rode it(Bike that is in my profile) Will be getting a k-9 shortly. Loved the looks of the bike just had so many problems with the APC. The company helped me some what but not like BDM. BDM has been here for 15 years for a reason. Sure some of the bikes have issues (customs due). But BDM is ahead of the rest when it comes to learning from there mistakes and making changes. My .02 worth!!:2thumbs:

I had the same type of problems with mine and did the same thing by starting at Facebook, after 2 months of emails that went Nowhere with BDM..But in the end I still didn't get anything they promised..Wait until you get your Bike back before you start to fill you Glass back up any..I still ended up paying for everything..Even the gas for the test ride that the dealer was told to do to Diagnose my Electrical problems..I have spent over 1K this year just in EHC and Battery and Breakers.Same last year also.Love My Bike But it's like a Good Whore..Gonna Cost you a Lot of Money to Ride it one way or another... http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/general/13880-bdm-does-warranty-after-warranty-has-expired.html

Buildem...getting charged $5 for gas IMO says enough about the dealership you are dealing with to warrant a change to begin with....the sad thing is alot of times the dealerships give BDM a bad name because of their practices, way they treat customers, their lack of training mechanics, ect ect ect,so if a dealership cant get it done all of a sudden it becomes BDM fault......i am totally on my own here now, outta warranty,no more of BDM apron strings to carry me along,am i happy about the issues i have had no i am not,but i have read enough on this forum to realize i am not alone and there is really no problem i cant solve between the manuals and this forum...the minute another electrical issue goes on i know its time to go the the wire plus product...i know it sometimes leaves a bad taste lingering but we must become part of our own solution and not part of the problem and that is why i had nothin to say for 1 month while my bike was down....everybody on this forum has allready heard it before and many have been there so i aint gonna bring nothin new to the table by yellin and screamin and blamin anyone and everyone

Good for you Jimi!
Most often depending on yourself (and friends) is the VERY BEST way to go! Complainers and Blamers (and those seeking a free-ride) are all too common these days.

My hat's off to ya, Brother! I like your attitude.:2thumbs:
