I think it'd be fun to run the track with fellow dogs......then all ride to the pub and make excuses... :) :2thumbs:

Good job Neil and Thumper. Make nice nice and have some beers! And to you Mr. Calfroper. It actually was a sportbike and the dog spanked his little spotry ass. I tried to find it but can't now but when I do I will try to get is up. Could have been a ninja 250 for all I know though!:D

I question as to who the Dumbass really is, those of us that take our bikes to the track ( legal and limited to only injuring ourselves) or the guys that post here boasting how they beat a Harley on the Street. I think we should have an East Coast Shootout and invite everybody with a BigDog to join the fun, I have checked into renting 2 tracks around Virginia (Virginia Motorsports park and Maryland International) the rates are reasonable and both tracks are 1/4 mile, we also have an 1/8 mile track in Richmond but I've not checked into the rental program.

Now after all that if we were to put this together many more could be part of the BDDC- Big Dog Dumbass Club.

What was the cost? That would be fun as all get out.

A lot variables but to rent the track ( 1 lane) prepped 1000', 2 EMT's (required) and timing staff was $1100.00 for 3 vehicles. The more participants you have there is a charge for them. We had 18 from work and the cost was $150.00 per person for 8 hours of test and tune. If this is done in the Fall months we can get both lanes for close to the same price. There also is a half day rental avaiable. If we can get more interest I'll check with the 3 I mentioned and see if if we can get a better price and what the safety requirements are. I know for us what is needed but not sure for the others.

A couple of weeks agao a guy pulled up beside me on a Suzuki 1000 and kept twisting and yanking the clutch beside me in traffic. While at the light he said to me that bike aint shit and I told him that I could buy 4 of his bikes for what mine was worth. That really pissed him off and when the light turned green that 300 hooked up and launched on his ass. I was at a complete stop at the next light when he pulled up and I asked him if he wanted some more and he just pouted. I pulled that sport bike through 1st,2nd,3rd, and 4th gear. If we had run top end there's no doubt he would have taken me, but all I could hear back there was what sounded like a 100 pound house fly chasing my ass.

Well, as long as everything goes well I will be posting my time slip tomorrow.
Cool,
Have fun cause I know you will.....
What I have found it that once you break the Avon good one time and smoke it, it will not break loose any more and smoke, it will just hook up. It becomes very sticky and has little wheel spin. Just blip the throttle some and clean it off and be ready for a good launch....

Despite some criticism from other members for wanting to take the bike to the strip, I had an amazing time. I saw some awesome cars and bikes, met some cool people, got to legally push my bike to its limits and most importantly had a lot of fun.

This video was my second of six runs, I was still learning and pegged the rev limiter which hurt my ET

Best ET 12.521 @ 103.22 mph for ¼ mile. I am car #1 on the slip, colum on the right. I was racing a Busa with a turbo @ 6 pounds of boost. It was both of our first times at the track.

This is a stock S&S 117", I cannot wait to see what the xxx carb, .650 cam and whimer intake will do next year.
