mean not to affend u here but it looks like u just tryn to dump a bike here and this web site is here for dog lovers not a place to dump your scoot cause u dont need it no more that why my floow dog lover bro said that thake it to your local paper and sell it this site is for real dog lovers

This might seem like a good place to sell a dog...except for the fact that 99.99% of the people here already have one...and thats called "preaching to the choir".
Also, we try to encourage, and we prefer, people to join and be a productive part of this community we have here...not just come in, use it for personal gain, and then bail.
That has happened here many times, and as Im sure you can understand, is quite aggravating to the loyal people who work very hard to run, promote and grow this site.
I certainly hope this didn't sound harsh, as it was not meant that way at all.

I guess we look at our little site as one big family. This section of the website was set up for the members to sell their parts and such but seems it's turned into a bike sales site in a few instances. Most websites make you complete 25 or more posts before you can sell.
But if you are waiting on orders then you really don't know where you are going do you? You should think about taking your bike with you. We have military members in Italy and Spain that have there bikes with them and many members here live overseas. And really if you want premium money for it you'll get alot more overseas.
I know lots of guys that took there HD's over to Japan and make big bucks. But I can understand if you have multiple cars and a family.
Still you will get better exposure on Cycletrader, Chopper4sale and elsewhere.

I can understand the young man delema, like raywood said take it with you bro.unless things have changed since I retired from the Navy, maybe they have a set number of vehicles you can ship under orders at the military's expense,then they charge you for the cost but hell it can't be that much & you would definately cover that cost if you sold overseas as raywood noted previously. good luck with your orders and career. :flag: :up:

I brought mine to Korea, but it had to count as household goods, not a vehicle. Since I am only here for a year, they didn't give me that much weight. Hmmmmm bed to sleep in or my Big Dog? Decision was easy for me!
I do understand the dilemma though...if you stay in one spot for too long you will accumulate way more stuff then the military will let you ship (with out raping you) and it's easier to downsize. I bought mine off of Cycle trader back in 03 and these guys are right, you will definitely get more exposure there. Good luck selling it and on your next tour!
