Found the noise in my wheel

Well it cost me $75 to find the noise coming from my back wheel. Took the dog to the shop have the belt loosen up (yeah I should of done it me self) and ask them to check the clicking noise ... called them today and they said there was a nail in the belt that was causing the noise. Well a new belt cost $150 and I'm going to learn how to adjust the belt since I'm going to take it off me self and while I'm at it I'm going to have my neighbor Phil do my pulley. So I hope I don't mess it up. :spank: :loony:

Mo Betta!!!

:D Got the bike back today and it made a whole lot of difference! It was a little rock embedded in the belt that was making a little bit of the noise but it was because the belt was way too tight. I doesn't lugg like it use to and the noise it gone ... I hope I didn't do any damage riding it tight like it was. I talked to my neighbor Phil and I need to count the number of teeth on the pulley and go from there. I think my belt is ok ... just a little dent. :D

Sound good, I was starting to wonder how did a nail get on that belt :loony:. I little rock makes more sense :D. You need to get you a belt tenison gauge so that when you adjust the tension on the belt you don't over do it . Surf up ride safe :2thumbs:

Surfs Up ...

They told me at first that it was a nail but it was a little rock ... not too much damage to the belt ... but still thinking about the rear pulley to be done. Just happy that the noise is gone and found the cause of it. South shore of the islands had a few great swells in the last few months ... wish I was still there .... oh well going for a ride ... :D
