OK TByrd, I am ready. My SE Ultra is pretty quick. I promise not to get too far out in front, so you can hear the ipod!

I know skid is proud of his SE,, but I've run a couple with the dog, & I'll admit thay are quick but no match for the dog, it could be the rider of the other bike, but I've run 3 & after all 3 couldnt keep up it may not just be riding skills,, 1 was a SE springer softail so thay wernt all heavy touring bikes.. now all of the SE bikes have stage 1 upgrades. not tring to bust your bouble skid.. ha ha

All the time! My buddy has a 110 CVO Springer. Nice bike, but not as quick off the line as the DOG, can't say what the top end as neither of us have the balls to run them wide open for any length of time.

Dayammmmmm, you boyz got some fast sickles!
Seriously TByrd, if we really did race, and you really did kick my ass, I would still buy you a beer. It's all about the competition and the experience. I'll line up with one of my buds who has a 117 chopper and let you know how I do. My bud BB has already volunteered, but he is out of commission right now.
My 110 Ultra is pretty quick, but I firmly believe that "there is no replacement for displacement." If we're gonna race, can I bring my K-9?

I have smoked every harley I have raced, even screaming eagles with pipes and power commanders, the 2007 k-9 takes them off the line and keeps pulling away, even when I let them stay with me till 110mph I then crank wide open and leave them like they are standing still.Running S&S tuned induction S&S 600 cam,Suppertrap mean mother exaust. Not to knock the Harley guys I was one for 10 years, just have moved up in class.

A close friend of mine just got one of the new 110" Convertible models. Should have it broken in soon and we can go play.

I also have a 103" SE Roadking. It's been on the Dyno and has about 100 hp, 110 ft/lb torque (SAE). Minor changes such as exhaust, air cleaner and ignition but nothing inside the motor has been touched. My Bulldog feels much stronger even though it only has about 10% more HP & Tq. It has been worked on and is not exactly stock.

In 2005 my stock 117" Bulldog motor was EPA restricted (restrictive exhaust, low compression, intake restrictor plate, smaller valves etc.) and I doubt in stock trim it would out run the 103" Road King with external mods.

Suspect that if the Bigdog 117 and Harley 110 are setup near the same (stock or equivelent modifications) they should run pretty close assuming similar weights.

I just read an article that the new softail springer with the 110 package put out 75hp and 100torque on the dyno.
That is not good at 28k

I really like the bike and had thought about getting one for a second scoot but the article didn't really care for it at all.

They put quite a few miles on it for the write up

Did a quick check at HTT and found that you are absolutly correct. The dyno charts on the modified 110" still leaves something to be desired. They just don't seem to be able to get much out of the CVO 110's. I would have thought that the 110 would do a lot better than the older 103's but it doesn't look that way.

Well, the Primary Spousal Unit rides an '08 SE Dyna. Only mods are roller rocker arms, better exhaust and Race Tuner setup while in Daytona that year. The Lil' Red Bastard is a pretty quick machine, and a lot more nimble through the turns.

I haven't done a whole lot to the Niner either: V&H Radius pipes, PowerPacc, and a "real" Thunder Heart IM (which soes seem to be a real improvement). Still has stock cams (.543). I MAY upgrade this Winter, but it runs pretty strong just as it sets - ain't broke, not sure that I want to "fix" it.

I'd like to think that I can take her, but we've never really tried a knock-down drag out. Not many roads up here to do that kind of thing. Been pondering doing the quarter mile thing just for the fun ov'it...

My "seat of the pants" feel is that my K9 and the SE would be pretty close together off the line and maybe through the 1/4 mile. But the K9 has much more top end than the SE.
BTW, my buddy has an '08 Ultra, bone stock except for slip ons. I rode our bikes back to back. Surprisingly, there was not a whole lot of difference on the bottom end. But the stocker flattened out real fast after about 4K rpm, whereas the SE kept pulling.
If you have ever ridden an 88ci back to back with a 96ci, you know what I mean.

Having owned a 2003 CVO with a 103ci, it's like comparing night and day with the S&S 117ci. The Harley engine makes lots more upper end noise, produces a LOT of heat, and (the 103", anyway) couldn't keep up with an S&S in any scenario. I've heard the heat issue hasn't gone away for Harley with their 110" CVO engine either. Now, they just put a shield on the frame so your inner thigh doesn't roast!!:loony:
I appreciate Harley, but I'm done with them for awhile.

My brother has the 110 CVO Road King with exhaust, K&N, woods cams, and Thundermax and let me tell you something, ever since we were kids from Big Wheels to Bikes we were running every chance that we were given and I mean "flat out balls" racing! Hell if we live next to each other we would be finding out who's Tractor was faster!:2thumbs: So that being said, we know how to rip when it's racing time!! With the few mods that I have 106hp 109 tq (no motor work) we romped em' side by side and I initially jumped out on him like a bike or two but he was right there with me past 120 mph!:whoop: So that's to close for comfort for me so in essence I'm pulling the motor next week and sending it to Hillside Cycles NY and told Scott Palmer to make this bike stand straight up!! Now I know on the other hand my brother got something going on also but acts like nothing is!! :spank: All in all those 110's will run when modified! :2thumbs:
