What are you using for a choke knob with your aftermarket air cleaner?

I've see a few out there but am not really impressed with any so far. Post some pics and where you got it with the $$$ amount.

Thanks.

Not to be a smart ass but you don't have a choke! The S&S carb has an enricher's that dumps raw fuel in to the carb unlike other carbs that restrict airflow via a choke.
I don't have anything on mine cause you don't want to use it except in the most extreme circumstances and then only to start the motor then release it and use the throttle to keep the rpm's up or you will foul your plugs. :D

There are some cool ones out there that are one step meaning it fully on and some others have one or two steps. Still you shouldn't be using it unless you have to! :flag:

Thanks Ray. I guess I had choke in my head because that's what I found the knobs under on ebay. Good catch:flag: . Nothing like a little edmujication. I understand the difference between the two but......1. I ride ALL winter and need it to start the bike on the 30 degree mornings and let it run for about 1 min to warm up and 2. don't really like the look of a brass tube sticking out of the top of my carb.

That's cool Mario, but I would still not use the enrichen'r for a minute. Only to start it then turn it off so you don't foul the plugs. I'm in 20-30 degree weather also and I need it to start the bike but I immediately go to the throttle then to keep it running. I have a cool thingeeee on my idle screw to adjust when I need to. And no comments about the dirty chrome, I seem to end up riding in a lot of rain!

Two thumbs up for riding in that cold of weather. I admire you!

If I have to use it the edge of my fingernail works as I only raise it about 1/8 to 1/4 of it's capacity since as mention above, it's not a choke. There's a guy on ebay that makes faux knife key blanks for the Dogs, maybe he could cast some kind of "just your's" design for the application.

Just a simple knob shaped like a star (what else?).

When the bike was brand new, I had to use the enrichener, but only until it started, and then I would push it down immediately. Now that it is broken in, it doesn't even take that - just two or three twists on the throttle, and it starts right up.

Enricher Knob

If you go to the BD dealer he has a catalog with S&S parts in it. I got an enrichment knob for mine after I changed the air cleaner. Its simple easy to use and only cost around $30.00 if I remember correctly.
