Dakota Digital Speedo?

Has anyone used this Direct Fit Speedometer Thinking of going to it. It's for a Bigdog, offering a direct plug-in

It shows up pretty damn good in the daylight, too.

if the auto dim messes up at night, it is hard to see past them.

Didn't someone say in another thread somewhere that the new '09 Wolf speedo can be swapped with the older OEM's? Coming from Big Dog though it's probably not any cheaper but who knows, might be worth looking at if you're going to replace yours anyway.

If the quality is anything near that of the Dakota digital speedo that came on all the American Ironhorse bikes, then they are no better than the stock Big Dog. My buddy has had tons of problems with his Dakota. I have another friend in michigan with a 56 Chevy and a Dakota cluster in it and he has has many issues with it as well. I'd probably never buy one.

Have you had trouble with the guages on your Street Glide? I would guess changing all the gauges on your Glide was an expensive proposition.

Try buying one from Bigdog when your warranty runs out? $115 with a 30 day warranty. I've had 5 replaced on my 07 K-9 and they ALL went out around 3000 mile so if I were buying one myself it sure the fuck wouldn't be one of those pieces of shit. With the Dakota it has a 2 year warranty. If you buy a autometer speedo they come with a 12 month warranty but when you buy from bigdog to fit our bikes you only get a 30 day warranty. Sounds to me like they are fucken our eyes out, because they probable buy a shit load of them and only put a 30 day warranty on them so they don't have to mess with us after 30 days, but they probable get them with a 1 yr warranty It's nice to have a option to get one with a warranty

What would a new BDM unit cost? I'm sure its about the same.
