Well,..I need some honest opinions please? Just got my bike back after having the following work done;
S&S 600 cam installed
Deck the jugs 10.6 to 1 compression
New valve springs
New rings
New Thunder heart ignition
New Bandit Clutch installed
New Thunder Jet installed
Running V&H Big radius pipes, will full baffels

Dyno numbers came back at:
106.31 Horsepower
119.63 Torque

I live in Delaware,.....sea level, test done at 82 degrees F
Are these numbers good, not so good,.......or where they should be???

Your dyno readings are just numbers, the real question is how does the bike run out on the street? Are you happy with the results? Is your bike still dependable and roadworthy? There will always be someone out there with better numbers no matter what you do so don't try for that unless you've got real deep pockets and another bike to ride, a lot of people make that mistake.
If the bike runs well in the normal riding RPM range 2,000-4,000 and it seems to have tons of torque(that's what gets the bike moving) don't be overly concerned with the HP numbers unless your bench racing with your buddies.:zz2cents:

Your numbers seem a little low. Those numbers are real close to what i had before a woods 650 cam and decking the heads and cylinders to zero. Your jetting should be in the the range of 31/78 and set your thunderheart ignition to 4. I think if you just add a woods cam your should get to 120hp 130tq. Even at the numbers you posted it is still a harley eater and a fun ride...good job!

wow, nice numbers...... A Harley eater !!!!! 117 CI... I think they might be a little low.... A good tuner makes a big difference.... My 06 Road king 95CI(S&S 585 GD, Baisley heads,thunder headers) is sitting at 102hp 108 ft lbs of torque. everyday rider and still get 47-52 mpg on the road cruising around 3000-3200......

What do you have for an air cleaner?
Put on a decent exhaust system,and your power should come up.:up:

Sorry guys, been out of town a couple of days. Bobby, Freedom Cycle in north Wilmington did all of the work. Frank is the head tech up there. I am running the high flow element on the factory air cleaner with the louvered front plate for an air cleaner. I have not had a chance to speak to him since the work was done, so I don't have all of the particulars on the settings, or the jets that were installed yet. I hope to speak to him tomorrow. I just thought that the HP would be slightly higher??? Also seems to lack that low end grunt it used to have.

Bobby they have done all of my warranty work,.....and then some. Great people to deal with, and very helpful. My brother and I both have dogs, as does another friend as well. We usually hit Hooters and McGlynns every Wednesday night, weather permitting. Look us up,.........U can't miss my Yellow & Gold mastiff. :cheers:

ok,..here's what I just found out;
Intermediate jet? #33
Main jet #76
Thunder Jet #100
28 degrees of total timing

He (the technician) also felt that the HP numbers were a little shy of what he expected. He usually see's about 115 to 118 in the HP range with this build package. Wants to try a little more timing to see if that makes a difference in the low end grunt it seems to be lacking. Also said that the pipes with full baffels will restrict HP. I don't want to piss off all of my neighbors either? Do the Vance and Hines two into one work better with performance mods and stay below the obnoxious level??? :feedback:

OK Rider Shakey
put BCT monster baffles in it. I put the link to them in another thread, but well worth the <low> bucks.

Do you ahve the money to spend? If so get a good set of two into ones. I think some guys are running the r&b or r&d race two into ones or something like that. Some one will tell you the correct name and clue you in a little more about them shortly.

did he not get the A/F readings when he ran the dyno?
Lee there is an Air/Fuel Graph at the bottom of my Dyno sheet, but as you can probably tell,..I do not know much about this information. I have no way to scan this sheet into my computer, but as I see it,...........a dotted red line straight across the sheet at 13? 2100 rpms, line at 14, 2300 rpms at 15.5, 2500 rpms at 14.5, 3000 rpms at 14, 3500 at 13.5, then levels off at all the way up to 5000 rpms at 13. at 5000 rpms it falls below 13 to about 12.5. If any of that makes sense to you??? :loony:

Those numbers seem very low. I have the same basic set up and am running around 128 HP and around 135 Torque. Only difference is I am running the big city thunder baffles...which should not make that big of a difference...also I am running the s and s dual intake which my dealer says is a killer intake.
