adding gps and speakers

Okay, I have used these small speakers with success for about three years now. Around town they sound good to about 55 mph. On the highway, surrounded by traffic they are good for about 50 mph unless the windshield is on. Then, depending on traffic and such, clarity is still good from 60 to almost 70.
I use an IPOD, mounted on the left side, just below the tank.
The speakers blend in well with the handlebars, as they have the same shape as the headlight, speedo and turn signals. Often people will hear the music and try to figure out where the sound is coming from. Most think that the speakers are gauge housings and part of the bike.

OK, so my response isn't timely and my garage is a mess......
Anyway, here are pics of the tank bank which has nice, strong magnets to hold it on. I'm not crazy about how a chopper looks with a tank bag but I only put it on when I need it and it holds the GPS with the RAM mounting kit. I mounted the RAM ball to the bag with a small piece of aluminum inside the bag to hold the screws so they wouldn't pull through.
I also included a couple of pics of the tank bag on the downtubes. Gives me a little storage if I need to pick up something but not as visible as on top of the tank. Likewise, I can pop it on top of the rear fender.
This bag has been real handy on a couple of bike trips where I have flown to another city and rented a bike. This way, I can have my GPS without any mods to a rental.
I understand how many don't want a GPS and will bash having one but I gotta tell you, I've found a bunch of good roads to ride that I would have never taken without it. With a GPS, I can basically turn on any road that looks good and never worry about where it takes me or how to get home. I definitely prefer to be with it than with out it.

I'm the guy with the Zumo in the pic that Raywood posted a little earlier in this thread.
People can bash all they want but a GPS can make riding much easier and I too have been led to roads that I would not normally have come across. And with the little tank we run on dogs it is really sweet when my Zumo pops up and tells me I am getting low on gas and oh by the way here are the closest gas stations and how to get to them.
And having my tunes righ there at my finnger tips is just gravy. Although I wish Garmin would have had the 660 out when I was shopping. I own the 550 and the blue tooth in it will only transmit mono audio. The 660 has stereo bluetooth. I bought a Motorola blue tooth headset but was bumbed when I found out about the mono issue. My original plan was to buy a blackberry, which the Zumo mates with, and the Motorola headset. This combination would have allowed me to listen to stereo music while riding and be able to control phone conversations through my Zumo all done wirelessely. Alas I am using an audio cable that I ran under the tank and I plug my headset into it. Soon though Zum will finally release the 660 and I will convert to a full bluetooth wireless setup.
