I just installed NGK Iridiums with wires and torqued them at 18lbs is this to much or not?


Turned wrenches for too long I guess, nothing against checking though!!!I heard of that also...Thx BB

I do however recommend the use of "anti-seize" on the plug threads! :2thumbs:
That way "GoodenTight" doesn't strip the threads on the way out, after use!![]()
Aluminum (heads) expand at a greater rate than steel (plugs)! Hot or Cold won't really matter if you've used "anti-size", or even WD-40 or some other type of lub on the plug threads..which is why you should try to avoid taking plugs out of hot heads - the expansion / contraction of the plug threads is at a different rate to the threads in the heads
