The dealer in Saint Paul, MN got 3 in on Thursday (29 May) and now have only 1 left. I have to say, it is sweet looking and when you straddle it, it calls out for some long, long journeys. Comfortable like you wouldn't believe.

It's a wonder to ride!! It's so smooth with the rubber mounted motor going down the highway and that 111 is stronger than mine is. The transmission so was smooth and easy to shift, maybe mine is just getting old and worn out. Floor boards would take a bit to get used to but now I would like them on my Chopper for my long rides. I should have had them long ago. Stereo doesn't work very good at high speeds on the freeway with that little short fairing but then that's obvious. I could still plug my in-ear buds to it.
The one I test rode had a Mustang seat on it with a back rest for both passengers and the luggage rack on back.

Boy I could put some miles on one of those. I really liked it. :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:

You been holding out on us Ray! Where are the photos? Is big dog going to give you one to promote sales? Maybe the Raywood US tour. Be money well spent IMO.

Ummm Ray??? U being bad and holding out??
Bagger Tip: Those of you wearing steel toe'd boots make sure you do not get your boots stuck between the floorboards and the shifters, that could make the ride far more interesting.:D

baggers are not my style, now the Wolf is...:2thumbs:

I just came from Black Dog in Harrisburg, Pa. Mike just got two in and WOW!!! One is black with traditional but metal flake flames and the other is a burnt orangish coppery color with a black ghost flame...OMG. I sat on it and it is comfortable like an Ashley leather recliner. Im not wild about the floor boards but the rest of this bike is absolutely STUNNING!!! 45k for the 2010 model he has there is a bit steep. Hopefully they can get that a bit more under control but these are some VERY BEAUTIFUL bikes.

I'm still waiting on the Wolf's quick detach bags to come out that they've been promising. Someone said August in another thread but we'll see. At this point I think they'll look more like an afterthought then part of the bikes original design like they originally made it seem.

As for the Bulldog, I'm still not too impressed with it. I'm like Knotso though, not a big bagger fan anyway. Maybe I'd appreciate it more in person.

Guess we have to call it by it's official name.....The Bulldog. The dealer here in town has one, in all black. I saw it on the road over the weekend and didn't recognize what it was at first. I'm going to stop in for a closer look. What I won't do is pay that kind of money. Even with a fancy paint job, a bagger is still a bagger, but it helps.....and if I were in the market, HD has an Ultra Classic for less the $25K.

Less than $25k after taxes.

The folks that buy the bulldog aren't going to care about the difference between the HD and Big Dog. To those rich fucks, 15k ain't shit! They are building so few I bet they sell them all.

I don't know, it's one thing to spend $40K on a Wolf that looks nothing at all like anything Harley has to offer (not to mention a motor that is beyond compare) but I'd say it's quite a bit different for someone to spend $45K on something that isn't very impressively powered and looks to a lot of people just like any other bagger pretty much.

I'd say there's an element of risk to offering that but like you say, there are probably enough guys willing to spend the extra to have the premium product instead. I'm sure BDM did their research and if there wasn't a market they wouldn't have bothered.

An X-Wedge engine might have helped me lean more towards one. As it stands, Harley baggers offer more long distance touring comfort and convenience at much less cost. Albeit they're NOT as COOL as a Big Dog...EVER!:whoop::cheers:

The new bagger FEELS like the power is stronger and has a much quicker response time than the wolf.
AND, make no mistake, the new bagger is VERY comfortable.

I gotta say that BDM has listened to all the complaints and suggestions and have come up with a pair of winners!

I was ready to trade

I went in to BDM in Stl and saw the bagger and believe me the brochures and pictures dont do this bike justice. When I left the dealership, I was trying to figure out what to sell to afford the difference. Those bikes are beautiful and I cant wait to ride...going to the river boat gambling now.

Marco how is the Wolf working out for you? I am still thinking about one.
I don't ride near as much as I'd like to due to problems with my legs but so far I'm still enjoying it a lot when I can. The starter went out on it already but other then that and the minor problems the dealer caused when they delivered it everythings been going well. I wish they would have come out with the quick detach bags for it they promised when they introduced it but I doubt we'll see that any time soon considering their current situation. It's a rougher ride then it should be but on the plus side it's a lot more nimble then you would ever expect a 9 1/2 foot long bike to be and very very quick and easy to get used to.
