I just got a call from my dealer that the rear wheel has to be replaced as the middle of the pitchfork design in the rear wheel is too thin and will crack.

I'm taking my bike in next Wed for replacement.

The SB I saw said they were simply inspecting the wheels for cracks, not replacing ahead of any cracking issue. And if they do replace it, it looks exactly like the stock version but is thicker in the potential crack area.

Wrong  call Don at Indian Cycle in Sacramento. He's had a customer that has been welding his rear wheel twice from cracks. That's what triggered BD to the recall.

But I do agree BD is doing a great job too bad my dealer is 3.5 hours away.

I wish I had more money.
3.5 hours is worth a wheel and or to aviod an accident though.

why is the wheel cracking? I've got a pitbull, & yea I read the SB, but is it due that the ridgeback has a wider wheel, do you think all ridgids will be an issue?? where is it cracking??

The dealer is being very cool with me as he ordered 3 wheels for the bikes on the showroom floor but he's putting one on my bike this week so I don't have to wait

Good dude also doing a electric board recall at the same time at no charge :whoop:

So far Sac Indian Cycle is the place. He also tuned and installed the G carb/mani that runs great but does that decel popping but I'm sure it's the short pipes I have on her. Sounds nasty

So is the new wheel identical to the old? Wonder if they would apply towards a wheel upgrade?
