And I was thinking... maybe I should get the paint saver ring/adapter powder coated.... not sure if they can or not... but it might make the cap stand out more.

Gas,
that cap looks like shit! Doesn't look like it will work on your bike at all!!!

You should send it to me immediately and I'll contact whoever sold it to you and tell them they're idiots! I'll have no other choice than to use it on my bike of course.....:D

Seriously, all your stuff looks good. Ain't it cool when the UPS / F-X trucks keep comming to your house. Then dropping off your stuff to the chromers and p/coaters......No better feeling except for riding it once she's back together!!

Yeah nice try LDO.

What do you think... powder the adapter and chrome the cap or chrome it all?

If it was me, I would p/coat the paint saver ring the same color as your paint (if you can, more durable...) Chrome the cap. Then drink some beer while I look at all my parts!!!:D :D :D

Yeah I'm just thinking if I do the ring in black it will make the cap stand out more. Got to talk to the powder coater on this idea.

I like the pc ring idea with the chrome! Took mine off though to use a low rise cap on the tank. Always did hate trying to look through the BDM stock fill to see how much gas I needed.

Tim, its a Westbury Lucky 7 with adapter. No discount glory... just order off their site. $225 plus S&H And its raw and needs chroming/powder. But you have to get the landmark off your tank first.

WB... if you don't like looking thru the landmark, this isn't going to be any better by any means. However, even though there are many caps that will spin directly into the bare tank, its not recommended unless maybe it has plastic threads. The metal to metal, paint/chrome just is a recipe for bad things. Further, Nick at BDM paint dept, strongly suggests a paint saver, with this adapter is. That it will keep you from chipping off the paint.

F-okie... I'll keep everybody up to date. Depending on the dealership turn around I could be looking at starting re-essemble in early Jan.

Thanks for the link Sul. I guess I'll use that to get me out... registered there a while ago but just now posting. Eric did SWEET work! I just posted on it in the pipe work.
Well got them picked up today! And the pics NO WAY IN HELL do the pipes justice. Ask Big House!

The mount will blend in great once powder coated, is simple/easy to use and is SUPER strong!

Needless to say, Eric and me can't wait to get it all ceramic coated and chromed!!! OMG!!

My hats off and HUGE thanks to Eric for these pipes!! They are SICK!!!

Gas,
what really catches my eye about this sissy bar is the way it reflects in your paint and makes it look like it's a mirrored design on your fender!!

very nice!!
