I did a search but couldn't find a quick answer.......
2008 Ridgeback.......... seat removal........
Manual says "To remove the seat, place fingers under the seat or pillion pad and locate the suction release tabs. Release the suction cups by pulling up on the suction release tabs."
I am trying to get to the battery to hook up my tender for my first ride tomorrow. I have no pillion pad, just the one seat. I see the 2 suction cups at the back of the solo seat, but I'm lost as to what to do......
Anyone???????

On the outer (rear edge) of the suction cups, each one has a tiny little tab that's molded into it. Take the tip of your finger / fingernail and raise it from the fender surface. This breaks the suction from the cups and they pop loose from the fender surface. Then raise the rear of the seat up, and pull the seat back out of the front mounting tab. Reinstall in reverse order. :2thumbs:

when putting the seat back on, make sure you rotate the suction cups so the little tabs point up, making it easier to release the cups when you need to take it off at night when you put the battery tender back on. you are putting the tender on when you're not riding, aren't you? also, make sure the cups and the fender do not have any grit on them or you will have scratches in the paint.

Put the pigtail that comes with all battery tender plus on the battery. No way I'm taking my seat on and off for every ride.

Don't mess with the seat. Put the pig tail on it as posted already and let it hang out anywhere you wish under the seat or side covers. You can make it as inconspicuous as you want. Use some zip-ties on the rest of the line.

I made the mistake of not wetting my pinion pad cups and the fucker flew off. :bang: Nice little scuff mark on it (since had it redone by seatmaker). I always wet it now before it goes on and it never moves ever. :cheers:

What works for me; grab back of seat and pull up. If suction cups don’t come loose, reach under seat with a finger to peel up the edge and break suction. Lift back of seat up to clear frame and slide seat back. There is a tab under the front that catches on a tab on the frame. Remember to get that back in before setting the seat back on the bike. Don’t have any pics, but it should be simple enough.
