I never was a people person the bigdog made me that way.Since my new Ed Willamson airbrush art.I talk to even more people and now when i tell the wife i will be riding be back soon its a lie. I am standing next to the bike talking about the paint and the bike which i really enjoy talking to strangers now. Lots of interesting folks out there.I love my Ridgeback :D Did the bigdog turn you into a people person,or have you always been one,or maybe no way i keep to myself ? Wish i had another tank to get more riding in before stops

Shit the wife and I were just talking about this tonight. Yesterday we went to look at this jacket off craigslist. It was just a few mins from the house and we weren't sure it would fit her. We had both dogs in the SS and just wanted to stop in real quick. Well... 45mins later we're still trying to leave. The guy is telling us everything about everything about his bike, his daughter, his buds bikes, everything. I didn't say 20 words.

Today... the utility company repair man out to fix the house a/c. He ended up spending another 15mins telling me all about his boat, 5th wheel, his buds boat and 5th wheels, his son, his sons classes, everything. Again, I hardly said anything.

I'm not sure what it is, but the wife says people just relate to me and talk to me like I'm a bar tender. I must just have the face that make people feel comfortable to talk to. WTF ever... it sucks sometimes. I like to talk but I hate when people like to conversation dominate, like the above examples.

As a whole I hate people. Individually I still usually hate people. I despise crowds. But I like my friends and enjoy a good conversation about bikes.

I can see how your new paint would make you more friends! Who doesn't like clowns and ice cream right??

I've never thought of myself as a big people person because I'm pretty introverted but people that I do talk to always seem to like me pretty well it seems. I sold a drumset to someone the other day for instance and I didn't think we'd ever quit gabbing and just be done. Once he finally did go home he emailed me a big long email about how nice it was to meet and talk and he acted like an old friend from school or something. And when I lived back home and would see people I actually did go to school with I would never remember who they were but they'd sit there and tell me story after story about what they remember me doing or saying. Don't get me wrong, I have a genuine love for all humanity and like giving and charity work but somehow that doesn't translate into me wanting to be buddy buddy with many people.

You may be on to something... maybe I need to just get my tins over to Ed! Hey, any excuse that will work to spend the money on that kind of art is worth a try right? I can't wait to see what he does with your fenders to match the tank.

Sorry 'bout that Rob. Get used to it. I'm kinda a low key guy myself. And when it comes time to paint my truck (which will eventually be air-bagged and body-dropped), I will be in the same boat. If I weren't an airbrush artist needing a finished show vehicle to display at shows and rock a rolling business card, I'd paint it flat black and leave it the F alone!
Thanks for the shameless plug BTW!

i would say that i am a "people person" The Dog just gives me another opportunity to talk. like Gas said, i seem to have that bartender thing too. the guys in our shop joke that my service counter is like "Cheers" . everyboody knows my name and sure have alot to tell me thru the day.... i agree sometimes it sucks, but its probably worse for my wife who has to drag me away most of the time.

I wouldn't exactly call myself a people person before I've had my coffee......so the Gas Man and I might want to avoid each other before noon. :whoop:

I'm not really a people person but I love to talk motorcycles with people with some knowledge and or experience. Some of the best people I've been able to strike up conversations with have been 1% ers that have been around motorcycles for longer than I've been living. I learn alot from them. They probably would have walked right by if it wasn't for the Big Dog.

These bikes just draw people. I find that I never have to fill up with gas alone. Just about every time I'm filling the Ridgeback up someone comes over to talk to me about it. The best is when the minivan driving adults stare and when I look up they look away, but their kids come right over and start looking closer at the bike and ask about it.

I guess I am a people person. I'm forced to be in my line of work. Sometimes I'd rather go to a place where I know there won't be a crowd, have a few beers and relax hoping not to talk to anybody.

I'm not a people person either; the bike has helped but I'm sure it ain't gonna help like Ed's killer paint you got going on....:D
I've gone out of my way to make new acquaintances from this forum though and I'm glad I did...
Enjoy that bike man, I know where I'm sending my tins if they get jacked up. Plug away...:whoop:

I'm not much of a people person either, sometimes though you just have to talk to people, then shortly after that my boss gets a call telling him that I am rude and unapproachable

Another round please
I fucking hate most people. There fucking fucks. I am great in front of clients and when I have to, but I would say I do not have the gift of gab. I have great friends that really know me and I would do anything for them. If I didn't talk to you first, don't talk to me. My wife is the complete opposite. Can't go 10 min without talking to someone and can talk for hours.
