I need a high flow air filter system

I looked at the "intake thread" and saw lots of intakes, but I did not see what I want/need. I need a high flow air filter like a "Big Sucker" or "Roland Sands Air Venturi" for an S&S 117 C.I. I found stuff for a harley, but the bolt pattern is different. I tried a velocity stack, but it would'nt tune right with my XXX carb. (Talked with Bob, he said ditch the velo stack), put the stock cleaner on and it runs super fine. I just wanted something different that actually works, hav'ent had any luck with spike type filters, they don't flow enough air. Also, there was a thread about a digital speedo/tach, and I can't find it now, I wanted something digital because 500 RPM increments (stock) is not good enough for fine tuning.

Tanks fo any hep!!

Nothing better than the stock S&S unit. Proven over 50 yrs and copied by many!
If anything add a K&N filter to it or even get the extended kit for it.

Oh and if Bob told you then there is no one more qualified to answer that!

Thanks for the reply Ray, I was hoping for something a little different from stock, but that's OK, 'cause like I say, it works great! (I did add a K&N filter).

What about the speedo question, do you remember the thread that Jake or Nelson started about the digital unit, or do you have any suggestions?

Thanks man!!

Sorry not with your setup or wiring. You would have to rework all your wiring.
If you can hold on BDM is coming out with a new unit that is not made by Autometer and is not subject to the same problems or fogging. It has a real time tach too. It will be retrofitted to all our 04 and newer bikes.
I hope to have mine soon:

ray, you say it will be a retro-fit. are you aware if it will be an owner purchase or covered under a service bulletin?

I am under the impression that it will come out of our pocket to upgrade to it.

I will try and find out for sure though.

This unit that our forum member cutter has from gates performance is no slouch either. I would like this unit myself.
