When I am down shifting I have a squeal coming from the primary. I have to admit I do ride the clutch a little. I've heard others doing the same thing with no squeal.

I have to open her up to take a look and see if there is any tech. problems. When I do I'll send some pics if anything looks out of the norm. Could someone steer me in the right direction as to where to find a new seal for the primary (outer seal). The primary has 10 bolts with 1 drain plug.

Not sure about the '01's but the 04's have a standard HD soft tail primary. I would get a gasket for a 2001 soft tail and you should be good.

It's a standard softail gasket any HD shop will have 1

When you get inside take that big nut off the fwd pulley side and check the splines on stator plate. i had 00 bagger that squealed when i took off. it was the splines. while u have her opened up if u cant see anything right off. peace.
