Has anyone on the fourm used these 2 in to 2 slip-ons or currently using these?

"Get more Bang for your buck with these 2-2 Slip on Exhaust Canisters. They are a great way to up grade the look & performance of your Big Dog Motorcycle while utilizing your stock head pipes. [Part No. 193-000041-01]"

I can't get a picture of these to load on this thread but they are on the BDM website. Here is a link to them though....

Big Dog Motorcycles - Models

I am seriously considering these as an alternative to Mean-Mothers or V&H BR's

Not bad looking exhausts, but I think their retail price is a little high ($500) considering you're reusing the stock head pipes.

I wonder what they sound like and what their performance numbers are versus stock pipes, Mean Mothers and V&H Big Radius (2:2 and 2:1)?

Questions I'd want answered before I laid any money down on them.

I agree about the price, you would really have to love them for that price when you can find another exhaust cheaper

Yeah $500 is a bit much... A set of street legal slip on's from HD are about $300-$350 if that puts it into perspective.

I was at the Haus Of Trikes today and they just put a set on a Mastiff and they sound AWESOME!!! I am thinking of selling my Mean Mothers to get some only because I love the sound of them. .:2thumbs:

They have a bit deeper tone than the Mean Mothers and just a bit louder. Sounds like the flow a bit better than the Mean Mothers, and they should because the inside diameter looks larger than my MM pipes.

The buyer of the bike took off down the road with the bike while I was there and I say, I WAS VERY IMPRESSED!!!!!

They are quite expensive for slip ons, but they do sound good!!!

Nope, they say SUPERTRAPP on them just like the Mean Mothers do.
They just put black tips on them instead of the chrome ones.
The SuperTrapp's I've seen had a bad habit of bluing a lot. Considering you'll be reusing stock head pipes, that might not be an issue with these slip-ons.

Good testimony, but I'd still like a little more info on them before I plunk down my cash. I like the idea of reusing the stock head pipes...seems like such a big waste, otherwise. However, I want power & performance along with a really good sound.:whoop: I wonder if anyone's done a performance comparison to the Mean Mothers and V&H "Big Radius" (2:2 and 2:1) accessory pipes?
