:loony: I have been on ebay and bid on several items . I spoke to him last week about listing some wheels . He has 2 accounts . shovelheadkicker and bigdogpartskingpin . He is only a few hours west of me .
He says he has no connection with BDM . If thats the case where does he get all this shit ? This guy has everything .
I asked him about wheels last week and he told me he would have to get them machined . Sure enough he listed them today .
Not saying this guy is crooked he has great feedback . Im just trying to figure out how he is connected .

I have bought Rocker boxes, heads, cyclinders, starters, cables, Chrome speedo housing, Auto meter speedo, and several other items for my Mastiff from him at a fraciton of dealer price. He delivers on time and the product is always in the condition he says it is. I believe his boss is the one who may have a connection to BDM. I think Gas talked to him some time ago and got the same answer you got Dugan. Anyway he is cool and the parts good and cheap. Now I have a lot of spare parts

I believe shovelcowboy (member here) posted a while back that he knows the guy. Helped him with BD parts when he built his bike.

You may want to contact him.

Wasn't shovelheadkicker a member of the old site? Or did someone just mention he was on Ebay to buy parts from? Either way I hope he can help everyone find what they need.

Yes he was and I tried to get him over here but if I remember right there was some issues with the factory!

Never heard anything bad about his although someone told me they thought he may have some people that bid up his prices but I've heard that about all larger eBay sellers.

I can almost guarantee that he bids his auctions up. I wanted a set of chrome mastiff wheels he had on a couple weeks ago.

Towards the end of the auction, bidders with (0) or (1) history and less than 30 days old (in other words, brand new to eBay) started taking the bids up. When I saw this happening, I decided that was enough of that shit.

As is usual with eBay, you have to be aware of this type thing happening. You need to put in your max amount you would pay up front, and stick with it. Novice eBayers think they get deals in the last minute or two off auctions. Well, maybe you used to but that is a rarity these days.

Yeah I've spoke to him. I know his name and his history but not my place to air that out. Lets just say this... BDM has had allot of people work for them, and then no longer work for them.

That being said, the scoop is that he buys old excess parts from BDM in huge lots. He then goes thru them and sells em on ebay. That is how he gets his parts.

Hey, do me a favor and ask him if he still has the new chrome wheels for a 2008 mastiff. If he does, please PM me.

I bought a 2008 Baker Trans off of him for a back up. Fast shipping and looked new when I received it.

I always received fast responses from my emails to him.

Wonder why he is using 2 seller id's? (nothing wrong with that I suppose). Logic would say he is keeping 2 parts SOURCES separate. But ???

The guy does have a fortune in BDM parts for sale and at some decent prices. I picked up a spare teflon coated rear belt pully for 110 bucks (brand new).

My deals with him on what I have bought has been very good. (see my other post on the bidded up chrome wheels I passed on).

He doesnt seem to know to much. Every time I ask a question he doesnt know the answer. Asked him what the pulse number was on a speedo he is selling and he couldnt even answer that!! I told him to look on the back and get back with me!!:loony:

I really don't know him, but have bought a lot of stuff from him. First for the custom red chopper I built, Then a whole project K-9 (which he was very helpful in getting me needed parts to complete it without the bid bullshit). For me (maybe because I bought the whole project) he would get a whole bunch of parts together and sell them to me at a fair price. On the project bike he was very good in helping coordinate the transport of the bike to my place.

So I think he is reliable and his word is good but I really don't know what the conduit from BDM to him is (but over time he has listed a ton of stuff). BDM must have way over-purchased parts at times.

Personally I have come to HATE the ebay bid process and will look for "buy-it-now" parts OR try to get them at say Jireh (much cheaper than JP) if not BDM proprietary.

Shovelcowboy

Oh, and I have to admit that the way the market has gone for used K-9's ($14 to 18K) I would have been much better off to have waited and bought a near new complete bike!:bang::bang: (But who would have ever thought that this economic MESS would happen and affect our bikes like it has).
