So my question is what will I need to install iti on my 08 EFI K9.. do I need new springs will it effect my EFI??? But most of all what gain would it give me. is it worth it. I have BR pipes and a k&N. but shes all stock other than that. Thanks for your help. MIke:cheers:

Congrats on the purchase........
Before you even think about doing anything you need to pull off one of your rocker boxes and look and see if you have the single wound beehive springs. They are only rated for .585 lift to begin with.
I would also guess anything you say on here about modifying your bike being a 08 BDM would be watching and could try to revoke your waranty for what it is worth.

Yes you would need springs and yes your EFI would or should compensate for it. From what I have read from others the 600 cam is a good install with lots of benefits all around the RPM ranges....

Can anyone tell me if i have the 640 springs on my 06 ridgeback? If i have the springs I'll get the cam, if not I'll think about it. What cam comes in the 06 and 05 ridgebacks?

I have the cam sitting on the shelf, waiting to be installed. I was sorta waiting for the warranty to expire before I got into the motor. That happens on March 20 - can't believe it's been two years already! Maybe it's time for that cam. I suspect I have the right springs already, based on other's experience.

I've heard it helps the top end power, but not lower end torque, which is more where I tend to ride. What's your experience, Dave?

I think it helped out all around....from my experience....I could tell the difference in the lower mid and high....:whoop: I think my scoot has more lower end than it did with the stockie...but I am going from seat of pants......like I said...I think it pulls nice all in all...and is even throatier sounding:D throw it in P8RIOT....it will wake up the scoot....:2thumbs:

Sounds like a fun garage project for the unemployed, Dave - maybe Raywood'll even help out, if I provide a little of the proper lubricant. :D :D :D
