Oil leak and slipping clutch

I have a 2009 Mastiff, just about at 2500 miles. Two problems need opinions on.

1. It is dripping oil (or something) just in front of the rear tire. This started around the 1900 mile point.

2. On basically full throttle acceleration, the 3rd to 4th shift sounds and feels like the clutch is slipping, it's just not a solid engagement of the clutch.

My question is 2 fold.
1. What usually leaks oil there? (a couple of quarter size drips overnight)
2. I think Big Dog used a new clutch for the 2009's (might be wrong). Is what I have going with the slippage common? Can the dealer adjust the cable or is this a real slippage issue?

In both cases, I think I will stand my ground on getting Iron Lightning to fix it. Does everyone agree that this will all be warranty work?

sounds like warranty iss, my 06 k/9 had a leak in mabe same area and it was a starter seal in primary case, they replace it twice under warranty , also clutch slipped and i adjusted c/cable,took care of problem, either way i would have dealer take care of it...

I don't think you'll have a problem. Matt and the crew have always taken good care of me on mine.

to have a right side drive you need a shaft to take it from left to right the seals that come from the factory SUCK!!! and it will leak oil, usually just a couple of drops, as for the cable adjustment if you have never done it take in and have the dealer show you how (you never know when you will have to do it again) my mastiff had the same problems

I also forgot to ask this.
I want to use Amsoil. This service period is the 2500 mile one. Is this enough miles to switch to synthetic?

This all got fixed today by Iron Lightning. As ususal, great work.

Funny thing, I was at the counter and was about to say something to Biker Babe, but damn if my eyes didn't start wandering. She caught me and started talking (dudes, she is a really-really hot babe). I bet she got a chuckle out of how I stammered a bit.

All in all, a great day
