when I talked to Cutty today......I told him that you would still have the "wrench days" :whoop:
Yeah and no different than last year hopefully... not working on my bike! :D

sun... while thank you. I do remember that. Even a broke clock is right at least twice a day so I did ok on your deal.

rad... it really was a hoshposh or conglomeration of little issues. It left me stranded due to coil connections when I tried some new fangled connector that either don't work or wasn't install correctly by myself or lord knows what. Then again when the 200 mile old crane ignition failed. Limped it home when the trans nut came loose and I lost all clutch movement.

So no one thing. I will say this... thru all of that, for some grace of God. I'm still on the original EHC. But damn was I thinkin... any day now... any day... I've saw bdm's start, start, start, start... nothing!

Chris...good luck with whatever you get...as a BDM noOb last year when I got the dog for my birthday, you helped me out allot:confused: ...you're the BDB Oracle . Thank you for all the advice and the great how to posts. The rebirth of the Pheonix was better than TV.

Keep the rubber side down!:flag:

Great quote Marv... love that trilogy...

OK... guys... well I closed the loan and signed the papers on the bikes today.

When we went the other week to look at the various bikes there, Uma got to trying on different bikes. She realized she really likes the smallness of the sporty. But would love a change. So I got thinking more...

I would like to have a new project and something more practical. I like baggers and they are the "new" choppers.

Plus side... she's getting the UBER cool 2009 Nightster 1200 with silver/black denim. No pics of HER bike cause its got to be dealer traded in and it wasn't in yet, the guys were still on the road with it, I guess it came out of southern ohio.

I like the Nightster and it will probably also, when the wife's not around or riding it, be my small bike for around town.

They got my bike in the other day and the mechanic just got done going over it again (last dealership mechanic did as well, so that's 2 mechanics going over it which I like).

I like the look of the street glides but want the usefullness of a tour bag/trunk. Also, like the spot lights on the front. Hate the tall windshield on the Ultra. Like the usefullness and protection of the side bag bars. Like the lower fairing. Like the Ultra wheels over the Honda look Street Glide wheels. So already have the kit to make the trunk detachable, a short 4" black windshield and a bunch more extras.

So a 2009 HD Ultra Classic that once I'm done will be more like a "Street Classic"... Black Pearl with looks like a gun metal gray but because its a pearl it looks black then gray... its great. I've included with and w/o flash to help show the difference in the paint.

A small vid of the mechanic returning from his test ride.

Will get real pics of the wife's nightster either Sat or maybe Sun when we pick them up. Then let the mods go on...

So what ya guys think?

Don't know what to say. EXCEPT hop on it and join me and my wife at AZ Bike week end of this month. She rides behind me on my '98 Heritage Springer (but doesn't care for my chopper much - DAMN). Anyway we would go well together!

Congrats on your new rides, Shovelcowboy:cheers:
