Looks like a good deal but do you have the reciever struts already? You guys are a lot of help. So that being said, I have an Iron Horse and want to know what you think of Ebay and getting this item for like $500 cheaper than the dealer wants to charge. Eric at choppin steel said he'd hook me up but I have a ride coming up with the Mrs before he can get to me next month. Do you think this is worth the price?

No reciever struts. One guy said I need them, another guy said "the guy who told you you need them is full of sh*t."Looks like a good deal but do you have the reciever struts already?

Well, many of us here only know about BD stuff. But the bottom of the sissybar's legs have to attach to something. On BD's our struts have to be changed out to reciever style so that the bottom of the sissybar can slide in and be bolted to the underside of the struts. No reciever struts. I'm not getting a definitive answer. Been looking online for receiver struts for my bike and have not found any.
Thanks Bro. The brackets are for the frame. It bolts on top of the frame where my rear axle is. The ends of the bar sit in them but apparently the sissy bar is also secured to the struts for stabilization...That's what I think.Well, many of us here only know about BD stuff. Here is a good example. See the smaller picture in the upper part of the pic. The plug comes out and the sissybar slips in. If you can figure out how the Iron Horse stuff works then you can determine what you need. The eBay pic you have shows a couple brackets. Do you know what they are for? They may be all you need but I would ensure first. However the bar price is great!

Shit, forgot you have a rigid!! Big Dogs still only attach to reciever struts and not the frame. Looks like AIM is using old style and a lot of people like that old look! Thanks Bro. Not sure what those things are on the side of the bar. Thought they hook up to the struts somewhere.Shit, forgot you have a rigid!! Big Dogs still only attach to reciever struts and not the frame. Looks like AIM is using old style and a lot of people like that old look!
That bar may be all you need. And a great price also. Now look at your fender/struts and see where the upper mounts attach. Is it the turn signals?
Looks like you're good to go!!! :2thumbs:
