Can someone with an '04 Chopper DT 250 rear take a look at their pivot axle spacers, and let me know the order? I have a million pics of my bike, but nothing with the right angle! I have only one spacer, it's chrome and about 1/2" with a little adjuster that spins out. I installed it on the right, but now I'm thinking this is wrong, because I can't get the shocks back on and the swingarm looks too far left! I think it should go on the left side, but wanna make sure. Thanks!

Looks like mine is on the left on the other side of the large powder coated bushing, then the larger one (fixed) is on the right side if we are talking about the same thing. Do you need me to try and get a pic?

If you can get me a pic, that'd be great. I'm not sure what you mean by a larger spacer on the right. You're talking SWINGARM PIVOT axle, correct? I only have one removable spacer, it's chrome with a little adjuster that screws in and out.

Thank you Al, I went down in the garage and straightened it out. I had that chrome spacer on the wrong side! Anyway, finally got the rear wheel on. I'll start mounting up the springer front end tmrw.

a lesson here for you Moe - take pics and label things when you dismantle :D I had similar issues when I took my wheels off for the first time and couldn't be sure where the spacers went back in

I usually do label crap, for some reason I didn't label those spacers, I think it all must have seemed so obvious when I took it apart, and I left the bolts in the swingarm but somehow got that spacer switched to the wrong side! Anyway I got it all sorted out thanks to the pics Al posted. Anyone know why our swingarm bolts are not grade 8?

i broke a swingarm bolt years ago before the recall. had to drill it out of the spacer and it drilled like butter! was not happy.

got the new style bolt and broke that also. at least it was a bitch to drill. maybe the 04's still have that weak ass bolt?

Marv... could the grade 8 be too hard? I have heard this theory on bolts before... maybe a grade 5 would work better?
