What BIG DOG bike does this tank go on?

Got this tank of ebay but the owner was gonna make a chopper with it and didn't know the year or model it came from. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure but it loks just like the tank on my 07 Chopper.

Actually it helps a lot because now I know what this bolt pattern will bolt up too. If I re-sking this tank then I know what it will bolt onto.

That is a tank off of a Chopper also used on the Mutt and the new Coyote.

The K-9 tank is bigger and has that flared out from the bottom shape and I think it has a 3 pt mount.

The sticker says .......N5740

I assumed this was a paint code becuase it seemed a bit short to be a part number.

Further I would venture to say a chopper tank for sure. I have saw all of them in person..

Yea it is a lot more squared off and the mount wells appear to be more shallow then on the K9.

Cool so if we know we are working with a chopper tank should it fit any year or did they have different configs withing the model?

Gas- From the looks of your pics it seems like there is room to take the tank up taller a few inches without hitting anything. Whould that be a fair statment or am I just not seeing things from the right angle?

Yeah Vision, there is lots of room up there, you got like 3/4" between the top of the tank and the bottom of the speedo...

05 Ridgeback because of the chopper shape and the flush mounts. Chopper tanks don't have flush mounts.

Vision, some of the models are very tight. Here is my 05 and it doesn't have much clearance. I remember back in 05 and 06 they even had some issues with interference and ended up painting a bunch of tanks.
Not much you can do with the proprietary mount and speedo of the BD either.
