Pegs

I'm thinking of putting Kuryakyn widow pegs on my bike with the stirups on the front.Does anyone run these and know if they will be bad about dragging with the stirups on them.

I drag the stock pegs on my K9....I would think the stirups would be more apt to drag than stock pegs.

I just have the pegs. I don't have the stirups. Kyrakyn installs a drag peg (little knob) that drags the ground before the peg does.
I don't have any experience with the stirups though.

Has anybody tried to modify the metal plate between frame and forward controls to raise the pegs maybe an inch (custom made) ? Should be very easy and solve or ease the dragging problem.

I was thinking having plates made before I go up to the "Tail of the Dragon" over Easter in April this year,
