:bang: I have a 02 Pitbull, and it has the coil cover that says 107 on it. I was doing some general maint (plugs) and was reviewing the data sticker on the down tube on the front of the frame. Upon reading that stucker it says that the motor is 1853cc, which I converted to 113 cubic inch. The motor is and S&S and it has super sidewinder stamped on it. I was wondering if anyone had any information regarding a website online where I could look up the serial number to know for sure what I am running.
Thanks,

Email your VIN to BDM and they will tell you anything you want to know about the bike.

I just figured since the bike was 7 years old, and that they didnt offer the 113 (I think) that I would have to go by the Sn# on the block itself.
Who knows, I guess anything is possible.

Does the sticker identify something other than BDM. If I remember right both my stickers reference the company.
But they are normally pretty quick about getting back to you.

I think 02' was big transition for BDM.

I suspect that some of their testing might have been actual sale/field testing.

Try something in real world conditions and make determinations from the owners experience.

Hell, maybe they ran out of 107's and gave it a free upgrade to get the bike out.

My 02 Husky also says 1853cc on sticker. I noticed this when I was looking for the sparkplug gap. I believe this is an error and it is supposed to say 1753cc.

Thanks,
If you call S&S tech,in Viola,Wi.,give them the serial # on the motor case, and they will tell you ANYTHING you want to know, including cam, lifters with or without travel limiters, etc, about the engine.
This holds true on any engine they sold assembeled.

I had the same thing with a four wheeler for my kids, come to find out that it simply states the family of engine not the specific engine in your bike...just a thought.
