I use red on everything. Every bolt, just red. Blue would definitely not hurt, but if you really don't want it coming loose until you're ready for it to come loose, just use red.

May I ask which "Red"? The service manual lists several different ones depending on application. Thanks!

its not that its coming loose, you are tightening down on soft lead terminals that slowly get[ smushed!!!] [now thats tech. shit!]

Fuck that I know what your are talking about, mine has come loose more than once. Switched out the lock washer and no more trouble.

Rhino -- no locktite on the battery! You're trying to get the best electrical connection possible and locktite ain't gonna help. As Gas said, replace the star washer --or go to a split lock waster (I did).

Moe -- you're going to have some fun down the road at some point just using RED!

This is my bike right now. I've never had a problem getting anything apart, so I never saw any reason to use blue!

Having trouble with loose battery connection every couple of weeks. Do you guys use locktight?
I hope you're not talking about putting Loctite between the terminal post and the cable. But if you are having trouble with the hardware on the cable end and that keeps coming loose, like the other guys said, a new lockwasher, or get a lock nut. I tend to go with locknuts as much as I can but to each his own.

Rhino, I'm having the same problem..and amazingly, I don't have a lock washer either...I just always carry the old faithful crescent wrench but will probably upgrade tothe lock washer TODAY...
