Found this guy thru Alhall.

Choppin Steel

The guy's name is Eric. He's a stand up guy that carrys a good rep in the biker world of mid michigan. He does his work out of his garage and is trying to make a name for himself.

He made Al's dog bone sissy bar and I took the bike up to him to get a bar made for my dog as well as a custom set of pipes. We can talk about pipes later... they're still being fabbed up.

And on a side note... some shots of other stuff around his shop.

A sweet buell bober he is working on, and only his second tank he's split.

A cool ass down tube

One of the major work horses

He also has a sweet custom built shovel chopper with kickstart and all but he had the tranny pulled and didn't want to discrace the bike by showing it in pieces.

How some of us Michigan boys entertain ourselves in the winter. Closed garage burnouts!

We went thru some sketching to get a flame look to match the tins and my seat.

Sketches:

Then once he got my bike I said, lets take the flame tails up and longer... something to match the bike more...

Tins:

Seat:

So he went with his artist and obvoius skilled hands and came up with this.

I have yet to see it other than the pics but I'm sure they don't do it justice. I mean you can't even see the welds or anything. The guy is insane awesome!

YES! And how much, I want one too! (I mean, our seats even match....)
Some where in the low $200 area.

The upside to wreckin your Dog and this is just the beginin boys :job:
You ain't kiddin bud!

real nice! since most of our specs are the same he should be able to take phone orders. maybe set him up here?
Exactly... this will allow him to do all the 250mm 2003-2004 (from Al's) and now 2005+ 250mm. But he will be all set now to do any of the 250mm bikes.

What he needs to get is a 300mm from a K9 or bulldog. Then he'll be all set to do anything.

Very nice and thanks for posting the thumbnails for me.:2thumbs:
No problem bud..

Hey Gas, Is it made out of steel or solid aluminum stock? Looked like aluminum.
I think its solid steel stock... but I haven't touched it...

I knew it would turn out great, this guy does great work if you leave him alone and just give him your basic idea because if he built exactly what you wanted you would sell the design short. He uses solid 11/16 1018 cold rolled steel. Trust me that fucker will be heavy duty. Not pushing for the guy but I can tell you this is the time to get him to do work for you. like me he works in the automotive industry in michigan and around here its layoff season. He will probally be looking to drum up some work in these next couple months.

Yeah I told him what I wanted and with the bike there it was so easy for him to work his magic on it.

Kinda like Al says... let him go to do his thing. He does good work and won't let you down.
