How to check title/VIN history?

Hi, I am getting conflicting information on the history of a bike and putting the VIN number in the CARFAX system did not seem to work...any site that handles this?

Kinda Sorta...posted yesterday with a brief introduction - finalizing a deal on a Big Dog K-9 and got some good advice from folks on the forum. Having a hard time nailing down the bike history though.

on the scooter in question.

Yes. Call BDM directly. All BDM authorized service's / repairs as well as the on board computer information are logged.

Also if your worried about it have him provide you an ignition printout. This will tell you how hard the bike has been ridden and how many hits it has on the revlimiter.

But sounds like you already closed the deal. You should have done this first if your really worried about it.

You can send BDM your project number and they will give you the history on the bike or at least where it was sold




Ignition printout will look like this..... well except for all the high numbers!

You could also e-mail Anne Dixon at the factory with the VIN number to get its history.

I spoke with BDM when I got my 02 Pitbull. They furnished me with several important items including paint codes etc.
