battery may check ok but it sounds like it is just too weak. do you keep it on a tender when you are not riding? if not, you must!!!!!!

At least everybody knows you got a Big Dog:2thumbs:

Has any water or moisture gotten in to the hand controls?

Have you check any of the LED indicators on the EHC for a fault.

If you on hook the horn do any of the other functions come back/ work?

There are upgraded circuit board for the switch controls has this been done?

My idea would be to cut the wire to that junky ass horn. Mine hasn't worked since the 2nd day i rode it out of the showroom. The one time it did operate it sounded like a VW bug horn and i dont know about you all but thats a little too fruity sounding for my liking !! Besides not too many horns will make enough noise to overpower the pipes.

If the battery dosen't fix it pull the connectors at the EHC & the horn button on the handle bars. Be sure there is no moisture. If so dry and apply dielectric grease.

Replaced battery, no help took it to the dealer the EHC is bad. I suppose this is another BD only thing and no after market stuff not available. Iv about had it with BD and having nothing but problems with this bike its been a lemon from day one, fixing and replacing shit more than riding it is getting old. Theres not enough room to list all the issues.

Being a 06 I am almost positive that if your EHC is bad BDM will replace it at little or no cost to you. Hope things work out for you. Keep us posted.

There is an "fix it" from BDM for the 2006 BDM's.
I never tried my horn and when it was in for the 5K svc, out tech tried it, then fixed it. This is a known issue that prolly is not related to the battery that needs replacing every 2-3 years.

I emailed BD and have heard nothing back yet, more than likely wont. The warrenty ran out in August so Im screwed with that. The weather in PHX is 65 degrees and sunny and the dog is dead. Guess I will have to look into the HD at least they run.
