Welcome, can you tell us what lights are lit up on the EHC? The ignition is not effected by the EHC so you need to tell us if you have spark at the plugs.
Also, do you have fuel at the carb? Have you flooded it? You have to be careful of using the enrichener, it will flood out the motor in no time.

Get back to us and we can help you out.
Later,
Ray

Cheers Ray, the EHC lights up one flash of Yellow when key is turned on, then on Run-Start the light changes RED. There was intermitent spark at the start, then disappeared to no spark as the battery got flat. the plugs are wet and dark grey in colour. i emptied the gas bowl, hoses and started again without the enricher on. still no go?

How long was it in storage? If ya have spark at the plugs, it could be as simple as bad gas. Did ya put stabil in the fuel? If not gas goes south pretty quick.

if your plugs are wet (probably from storage) change them - you aint gonna get much spark from wet plugs. Take the HT leads off and try a new plug to check if you get spark - if you do you know the plugs are the problem and easy fix.

Birdman NZ,
Check the ignition module. Turn on the key switch, then press the run button and you should have a red light come on on the ignition module.

The EHC lights indicate it's powering up properly so then I would verify I have enough juice in the battery. How old is it. You will need to take it down to an auto shop that can "load test" it. It needs 12.8 volts to properly start up the bike. Replace it if you are unsure and keep it on a battery tender.
Then I would drain out and re-fill the tank with fresh fuel if it's been sitting for a while.
Change out your plugs to fresh ones and you should be good to go. Stay away from that enrichener though. You just need a couple good squirts of the throttle and let her start then keep the rpm up with your throttle till it warms up.

Good luck,
Ray

Lets not overlook the possibility of loose battery connections.. That makes them do a lot of strange things.

Welcome :2thumbs:

you can do a basic load test with a voltmeter. Just connect it to the terminals and hit start - if the volts drop to lower than 9.5 ish volts then the battery is no good.

My bet is crappy gas, use of the enrichener, and fouled plugs just like has been said.
This is easy to check... get a spray bottle with some known good gas in it. Remove the air filter and spray said gas into carb while trying to start bike. If it starts then yes bad gas.

i say check for spark... its easy to check... get a new spark plug, pull a spark plug boot, put new plug in boot and check against head. this way also keeps you from getting air pumped to your face with the plug out of the head hole.
