Need help getting my front wheel off.

I got a 2002 pitbull and I have it torn down quiet a bit. Just trying to clean everything up and polish all of the billet. I have the manual and it has a diagram of the forks but it is a little different from the ones on my Pitbull. I took off the bottom covers on the forks. I took out the two pinch bolts on the right fork leg. Looking up through the bottom cover holes, it looks like the axle comes from the right side (sitting on the bike) and there is just a bolt on the left side that threads into the axle. I tried to remove it (the bolt on the left side) and it wont budge. Now a lot of the bolts on this bike look like they have never been off and some are rusty. I even put the allen wrench on it and hit it a few times with my 2lb dead blow hammer and still nothing.

Am I missing something? Are the threads reversed? My last resort is to use the impact but I dont want to break the bolt.

What do you guys think?

If it's similar to my 03 then I would have left the pinch bolts in to loosen the nut on the left side. Isn't there also a hole on the right side to put something in it to hold it while you remove the nut? When the nut comes off you just slide/punch out the axle to the right side.

Good luck,

Hey I appreciate the reply. Based on what you said I am thinking the bolt is just really tight. I will get my impact on it tomorrow. I just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing something before I really put some torque to it.
Thanks

Torque values for those 3 bolts have been posted on here before but may be hard to find so I will look them up in my manual tomorrow and post them for you.

Later,

Thanks again. I took my impact and hit one good time and it came right off. I really appreciate the help though.
